There are several items that are essential when putting together a save-a-dive-kit, cylinder valve O-rings, fin straps, buckles, etc. One of the most important items is the spare knife strap. This Rubber 24" (61cm) Quick Release Buckled Strap is universal and will fit a wide range of knife sheaths out there. Don't let a bad knife strap be the causes of you not carrying your diver's tool, always have a spare. Strap is made of depth compensating rubber, so your knife won't get lose when your exposure suit compresses upon descent. Strap is equipped with squeeze-style quick-release buckle that is non-corrosive impact resistant plastic for long life and durability.

I found them long enough to get around my phone and it's fairly big. I didn't need to add a second keeper band to keep the rubber strap from loosening

it is one strap or 2 straps??
GEORGINA P
When I purchased it (2) came in the package, that was years ago and they're still in use.

That was 6 years ago. But back then it was 2 in a pack

how wide is a strap and what keeps rubber end from slipping out of the buckle?
SARAH M
THE STRAPS ARE 3/4 OF AND INCH, AND A RUBBER EYELET NOT SHOWN IN THE PICTURE, HELPS KEEP IT FROM SLIDING. wE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH OURS.

The strap is 3/4 of an inch wide. I got it as a "just in case," if the strap on my kinfe breaks, I have a spare. So far, I haven't had to use it, so I can't answer about it slipping out. My knife sheath has a spring-loaded catch behind the buckle, so I expect it will just bear down and grip the rubber. In the photo, it LOOKS like the catch is designed to "twist" the rubber enough to lock it in place.

There is a rubber nub that keeps the strap from sliding through the non adjustable end of the buckle. The strap is 3/4" wide.
