I am very far-sighted and can't read my computer or gauges very well. I put one magnifier on my left lens and could read my gauge because I could get it far enough away, but still not the computer (my arm is too short - LOL). I anticipated this and used the second one on the outside of the mask to double the magnification. That seems to work but I haven't dove with this configuration yet. I also found it easy to remove and re-apply the initial try. All it takes is a long soak in very hot water. In short, they are easy to apply and also easy ro remove iand reapply. They do the job well if you get the correct magnification.

I am nearsighted and have a mask with an Rx in it. I thought that it would be worth trying these lenses instead of getting a bifocal Rx mask. These lenses don't work with a Rx mask. There's nothing in the product information that states this. Fortunately, I had bought the lenses on the recommendation of a LeisurePro staff who I had e-mailed. At first, LeisurePro was not going to take the lenses back, because they were "used"- I had tried to install them. I e-mailed Ben Teichberg, the excellent manager, who made things right. Thanks to LeisurePro for doing the right thing. Please make sure that prospective customers know that these lenses don't work with a Rx dive mask.

Comments about Aqua Optics Dive Mask Magnifiers (1 Pair):

I was expecting much better results in my visual acuity but the product failed to fulfill my expectations. I don't think it was the fault of the product itself but of the whole process of vision and distortion under water. The only possible improvement I can think would help is if the lense was larger. the negative comments made by other reviewers about the lenses falling out did not happen to me.

Comments about Aqua Optics Dive Mask Magnifiers (1 Pair):

This item will not stay attached to the mask for more than the first dive. Salt water compromises the glue. This make the product useless. Also, this product is glass, so if you do not know it is lose and it falls out of the mask, it will break on your boat deck, or you will lose it.

Comments about Aqua Optics Dive Mask Magnifiers (1 Pair):

The product arrived in good condition. Unfortunately, both of my dive masks have curved lens. Given that the magnifier lens are made of glass, it cannot be bent to conform to the shape of the masks' lens. The fact that it was made of glass should have been the clue. The product may work if applied to a flat surface such as a single window dive mask. I will try the Optix 20/20 stick-on and return this product.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

                Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ALBERTO G  Because I use bifocal lens, and I hope they can help me to see better underwater
Shopper  instructions say place them centered on your pupil but their picture show them near the bottom. Whats the deal?
Frank L  At the bottom, but centered.
Dick M  Can you provide two different prescriptions for people like me who have significantly different prescriptions in each eye (or just one lens at a reduced price)? I went from seriously near sighted in my left (-5.0) eye to moderately near sighted (-1.5) and from seriously near sighted (-6.0) in my right eye to significantly far sighted (+2.0) thanks to a quack who called himself an ophthalmologist doing my cataracts. In the end I plan to use one eye at a time and have one that sees close and the other that sees at about 5-10 feet.
KEVIN F  These corrections come in a set of two in +.5 increments. Both lenses are the same correction. You would have to purchase two different sets if you need two separate corrections. However, we do have other options for corrective lenses depending on your needs. Please feel free to contact our sales department to discuss the other options that may be more suitable. You may email us at info@leisurepro.com or call 800-637-6880.
