Dive Safety just changed forever with the introduction of the Nautilus Lifeline a Compact Sleek Radio GPS for Divers that is Depth Rated to 425' (130 meters). It is similar in size to a Blackberry but a wee bit thicker. You can use it as a Full Featured Marine VHF Radio to chat with your friends. You can ask for help on CH16 from ANY Boat around you within a 2-6 miles (3-10 km) Radius depending on antenna height whether it is the largest cruise ship in the world, a passing tug, ferry or yacht or the smallest fishing boat. It's a full featured GPS that even allows you to Geocache your Dive Sites. And most important of all, it is built with DSC Compatibility allowing you to Broadcast-an-Alarm and your GPS Position to every vessel in range that is equipped with a modern VHF Marine Radio. Lights will Flash, Horns will Go-Off, and everyone else's Radio will Auto Switch to C16 and your GPS Coordinates and brief message will be displayed on their radios.

The Nautilus Lifeline GPS has a Durable and Waterproof Polycarbonate Housing with 316L Stainless Steel Hardware. Housing is equipped with a Clip that conveniently and securely attaches the Nautilus Lifeline to a D-Ring. The Units GPS Receiver is a Jupiter 3 that shows Latitude and Longitude on the LCD Screen. The LCD Screen shows GPS Coordinates, Number of Satellites In-View, Channel-in-Use, and Battery Level. When Scrolling through the Menu, the Screen Shows Volume, Squelch, and Channel Selection. There is a Position Indicator Light that Flashes in Distress Mode to Indicate Divers Position which is especially useful After-Sunset.

The Unit is powered by a 1850 mAh Lithium-Ion Battery that connects to any USB Charger. The Battery provides 30 minutes of Talk Time plus 24 Hours of Distress Mode. A Green Light illuminates when Unit is being charged. The VHF Whip Antenna is Waterproof to IP67 standards. The Antenna's Range can be further extended by holding the Unit above your head in Distress Mode. The Speaker/Microphone is Splash-Proof and functional in all Sea Conditions. The Chat Button allows you to chat to your dive boat or other divers on a regular transmission channel, or to change the channel to any marine VHF Frequency. The Hail + Distress Button allows you to talk to every boat within range on channel 16, the universal hail and distress channel on every marine radio worldwide. Users can change this channel to any marine VHF frequency. Software embedded in the unit prevents you from accidentally jamming the channel. The Lifeline Button allows you to transmit a distress message and your GPS coordinates by using Locate-Me Technology. Your message will be shown on the screen of all boats with modern marine radios.

The USB Port for recharging the battery, also allows you to connect to a computer to change advanced settings or download a GPS log of dive sites.
