Does what it says... surprisingly durable

By

from Morristown, TN, US

Does what it says, and is surprisingly durable in heavy saltwater diving usage. After 2 weeks of almost daily diving, my gear was still clearly marked.

Perfect for ID'ing your gear

I purchased this to mark my diving gear for easy identification. It works very well even on neoprene. Easy to use.

Works well.

I've marked everything including my BCD, dive bag, dive computer, regulators, etc. Albeit some with just dots. But the ink has lasted well after many dives. I have yet to need to identify my equipment, but I know it's there if I need to. On fabrics like BCDs and dive bags, make sure you get the ink flowing on paper or something before using it on the fabric to get a better brighter lettering. I've also let it dry and done a second coat since the fabric can soak in the ink, making it light.

Guy N  mark dive gear
LYNDA J  NEEDED SOMETHING TO WRITE WITH UNDERWATER. 2007 WAS A STRANGE YEAR.
Pablo C  Mark my stuff
ANDREW K  Bought as part of kit. Marker might be easier than painting my name on gear.
ALLEN M  Mark your stuff so it doesn't get mixed up with other people's
ARCHIE A  these things are tremendously valuable for marking your name on scuba gear
FRED M  My favorite color is yellow. I use it to mark my name on my BCD and other equipment. Its helped a great deal in the identification process.
WILLIS R C  For marking my fins and other dive equipment. Divers on charter boats will unwittingly take your stuff, if not marked, because they think it is theirs. I always show them my name & phone # and embarrass mistaken individuals. It works great and lasts a year or more on the fins.
MIKE P  used it to mark my gear about 2 yrs ago and can still read the markings, very good for price
MIKE P  im on the dive team, and it helps id my gear, marked 2 yrs ago and still can read, very good item
Allan R  Are there coloured pens? looking for brown to cover appoxy repair in pebblecrete pool surface
TIM M  No they are yellow paint. I use these paint pens to put my initials on my scuba equipment for identification purposes.
Paul P  I work for the ymca and need to mark tiles in the deep end of our pool. I don't want to drain it because it's just a few tiles. Will this work 1. On tile? 2. Using underwater?
DARRYL M  Application underwater will not work (has a felt tip and ink will likely dissolve before it is even released). If it is very smooth tile, it will most likely not adhere (works best on a somewhat textured surface like a tank).
