It allows me to connect to the quick release for the BCD to inflate tires or run air tools very cool...
If your Inflator Mechanism is leaking every time, you attach your hose to the connector on your BCD Inflator you may need a new BCD Connector. This 1/4" NPT Male standard BCD connector fits most inflator mechanisms. This BCD connector is made of marine grade chrome plated brass for strength and durability, and comes with a standard BCD Connector O-ring so it's ready for installation. Always carry spares. 1/4" NPT Male standard BCD connector makes a great save-a-dive-kit item. Easy to install and intended for low pressure use only - Below 200 psi (13.8 bars).

Do you need an o-ring to attach this or does this screw in directly without an o-ring?
KEN D
Yes
DUANE S
no the one I received uses pipe thread, no O-ring needed
ANTHONY W
No "O" Ring required.
JAMES S
Don't remember an o-ring. Think I used teflon tape to seal threads.
JACK D
No just screws in
J D P
Screws in without O-ring.. These can also be used to rig an inflator for tires by screwing into a (possibly yellow) inflator hose from Walmart or auto parts store. Use teflon tape to keep air from leaking past threads of inflator hose.

I have the Scubapro Nighthawk BC and the Atomic SS1. I know the Atomic is a bit bigger size than normal.
Is what I will need to rinse out the BC?
BRIAN F
This is not for rinsing out the BC. It is to connect a power inflator hose and will not work with the SS1.
To rinse out your BC, just put water in through the mouth piece and then drain back out.

Hi! This one works with the Aqualung Wave BCD Powerline Inflator?
WILLIAM J
It will not replace the fitting on the BCD inflator
PETER S
I use this to connect my air compressor fitting, tire inflator, etc. to my reg.
YAN G
I do not believe it would work.

Why Did You Choose This?
JAY Y
1/4" = common air compressor fittings out there.

Because of the versatility for other non scuba tasks...very handy
