      Best Uses

Fits a standard 6mm treaded shaft.

Just got back from a trip to the USVI. In combination with a decent, low cost pole spear it worked great on every size lionfish from 1 1/2 inches on up.

This tip allows for great, very secure penetration. If you do your part and hit them they're stuck and not getting away.

This is also the only downside to the tip. If your using this to hunt for consumption the, tip can do a fair amount of damage to the flesh. Due to the secure hold the barbs provide be prepared to work quickly around sharks or you just might find your short a spear.

        Questions about this item:

Shopper  Do you have a protective tip for this particular spear head?
KELLY R  Mine from Leisure Pro did not come with a protective tip. It could be taken off the spear and put back into the blister pack after each use, but that's a hassle. What I'd do is cut little sections of surgical tubing and stick each one part way down on each of the metal prongs. Should work!
