This product is great to cover my speargun bands (or slings) with. I would never put a polespear in this bag as that is not what it is intended for. Additionally, a polespear is not a sling, an Hawaiian sling is completley different than a polespear.
Great for spearguns!

This goes over the tip of your speargun to protect the bands from UV rays, that's why they grommet is so large. It functions perfectly. It's not intended for polespears in any way.
Spear fishermen know that either rubber or latex bands or slings are affected adversely by sun light and air. The last thing you need is one of your guns bands snapping underwater when you're ready to shoot that trophy fish. Protect your bands and slings with Sling Sock, Especially designed to protect your slings or bands when transporting stowing or waiting to get in the water to fish. Sock is made from durable UV protective sewn fabric with a draw string closure equipped with barrel lock slide fastener. Design allows storage of slings on or separate from speargun. Great gift idea for that spearfishing significant other or dive buddy.

Lying flat it is about 17"x6". It creates about a 3-4" diameter (circular) area when you fill it. It is meant to cover only the bands to protect them against abrasion, UV rays, & wear/tear. There is a grommet in the end that the spear tip goes through and then the bands rest in the sock. I've got (3) 5/8" bands on my 53" long JBL Magnum Sawed Off XHD speargun and it works great! Just bought another sling sock for a buddy.

Unable to measure at this time since my spearguns are all packed up, BUT suffice it to say that I have one on my 140cm Mako (the longest gun currently available without going into special ordering),blue water type speargun, and it covers the 16mm x2 bands nicely, thanks to the drawstring. IF you're looking for the measurements in order to fit the sock on something else, I can't help you there right now.
