Ok but really not ok

By

from Wisconsin, WI, US

I just returned from a spearfishing trip in Mexico and a friend I was diving with had one of these. He said it made it easier to load and not having to deal with wrapping the line and whatnot. The deal-breaker with this item is that it floated up around the top of the gun, right in line with the sights when trying to aim at a fish. He had to use the other hand to move it out of the way in order to get a good aim. Really frustrating.

no tangles, decreases speed.

this style shockcord is handy and makes gun easier to load. Around rocks where distances aren't so critical, they probably would be great. I used to use similar coil cord on a Pneumatic gun in open water in Gulf of Mexico. Here, I found it robbed the spear of speed and penetration at distance. I no longer use a coil line to hunt.
