Really nice float / buoy!

By Shore B.

This float is great. I used to use just a "normal" dive flag but I would have boats coming up to me to see what the flag was. (I know tell the DNR or the Coast Guard. I'm in an area of the great lakes with LOTS of recreational traffic and they have no clue what a dive flag is some times.) With this float it says diver below and has the flag. That did the trick. I have not had one boat come up to me while using it. I attached a 2lb hard dive weight to the bottom of it (it is made for ...

Easy to stow

By JIM W.

Suspend a weigh beneath the float to get better stability. I also, fill the center with water and stow a couple of extra pounds in the center in case I need them for students. I like the fact that I can collapse this and stow it in a nice little box with my other float, leaving more room for tanks, etc.

Being a safe diver is important as more and more people are taking to the water every year, and there is increased watercraft traffic in our favorite dive sites. Make sure to fly a flag when diving to alert watercraft operators that there are divers below! Flag is a traditional red & white diver-down flag. The Innovative Inflatable Flag-N-Float has a horizontal flag mount and inflatable buoy base that is easy to use. 22" (55.9cm) diameter buoy base and weight attachment strap provide excellent stability in rough water or while towing. When deflated, Flag-N-Float stores in your dive bag. Flag-N-Float sets-up quickly. Put a small dive light in the center compartment to illuminate the buoy at night. Complete with buoy base, 16" x 20" (40.6cm x 50.8cm) flag, break-down pole, towline attachment ring and weight clip strap (weight not included).

Questions about this item:

Shopper  How big is the inner hole diameter on this float? Can it be used for storage of waterproof equipment?
JESSE D  You could put a camera without strobes or a small water proof bag
Alexei G  I've just got this product and I don't see a way to keep the flag upright ... even in the calm of my home. The only holes seem to be at the sides of the float where the line passes which are not rigid so the poles would not stay upright under any conditions. Am I missing something?
DIXON S  This float is only designed to support the flag that's shown in the product picture (2 poles). It's not designed to mount a standard single pole dive flag.
AARON L  I had the same issue and tried everything, even putting weight in the center hole but the problem persisted. I finally solved it by deflating the buoy, then throwing it in the trash and ordering a different design. Sadly we have both wasted hard earned money on a badly designed product.
ABRAHAM W  don't know; never opened it up or used it
JAMES R  I found this to be a poorly designed product. Yes, it tips over, and then the flag falls off. if you get one, add a string across the bottom and add a one pound weight to it. Then duct tape the flag to the poles.
Shopper  I plan to use this to attach to my kayak and paddle around so that other boats can see me. With regards to stability will it tip over easier than the ones that just have the sercular buoy?
JULIO CESAR L  I haven't used in a kayak, but I don't think so, this is a pretty big buoy, but if you get a lot wind, just don't place the flag, the buoy will still be pretty visible to, unless you also have heavy boat traffic.
LARRY P  The middle of the float is made to be filled with water. I've had it anchored in 30mph wind without it tipping over.
WALLY H  No. you can fill the inside with a little water and it will stay upright. The inside opening is sealed at the bottom where you can put things that you find while diving or you can store drinks with ice. Its pretty stong! Most of my fellow divers purchased them that were using the bouy type because of the storage capability.
JASON J  No it won't..this is a very stable unit and you can add weights in the middle for even more stability..this is a great unit
ROBERT M  I use mine as a stationary marker buoy but it should be stable to pull behind a kayak
CARL T  Yes a little wind will blow it over
DAVID D  What would be a good affordable line and reel to tow the float?
GERALD W  You can get a cheap roll of poly line and a reel from Leisurepro.
GARY R  I use a 1/4 inch polypropylene rope. It's hollow braid and is easy to work with. You can find it at any hardware store for about 6 dollars for 50 feet.
Shopper  Do you carry the red and white replacement flag for the Flag-N-Float?
LeisurePro S  We have the red replacement flag here.
