Will this work with Enriched Air?
I see no problems with using it with nitrox. The need for vyton o-rings seems to be more hype than anything else. Under extended use in a high oxygen environment you might seem premature deterioration of the o-rings, but they are easy enought to replace.
I do not know. I am not familiar with enriched air systems.
Opps, that is right, you will need to change the O-ring ( I also forgot the name). This is fine for filling but not intended for use during diving. My suggestion if you want to use it for diving is just get a new tank valve for the type of fitting on your equipment.
First off, I am no expert. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't, it is just a device that changes from one type fitting to another. Although, I am sure it would need to be grease free since the enriched air is higher in O2. I would ask at the dive shop you use for fills. If they won't answer, I would find a new dive shop that will and stick with them in the future. I think all it would need is a good cleaning, and you should be set to go.
Just ask at a dive shop/fill station to confirm.
Good luck. Jim
Hello, when you enriched air are you Nitrogen? If so if the tanks are the same thread it should work for you.
This I don't really know. Mine fitted only in a few DIN equipped tanks; for others it was too short and wouldn't seal. This is not an universal adapter and if the DIN socket is deep (on high pressure tanks) it will not work.
its will work, airflow restriction across the orifice of the coupler will be minimal. this does add more connections in your lines, which is best to avoid. this is more designed for filling tanks then using while diving. if you are running enriched air, you are probably running deep or long dives. if this is the case, you can get a yoke/j valve(i think is the correct name) for fairly cheap considering your running enriched air and probably into the sport. just for filling tanks, more then adequate. I use mine from time to time on spare tanks, shallow dives <40 ft. i would be comfortable bringing it deeper, just don't need to. I also only run straight air. jared.
Yes this will work with air or Nitrox
I would say no because,
It is not intended to be used while diving.
It is used to fill your din tank at a shop that only has a yoke connector.
You can use a din regulator on a yoke tank with an adapter while diving.
But not the other way around.
Your scuba shop should be able to verify this.
No Problem, but if you want to be absolutely safe, change the o ring to the O2 safe kind. (the light brown ones, forgot the material name)
Can't say, I only used it to fill paintball tanks.
Yes no problem but has to be oxygen cleaned to my knowledge, I d't think you can go back and forth.
