Works surprisingly well!

By ROBERT W.

Breaths more than well enough to safely surface with your buddy on your primary second stage. The sounder isn't the loudest available for surface use but will out range most whistles. Underwater the unique qwack sound does give some sense of direction when not using a hood. The biggest problem in using this product may be in getting it serviced regularly. My LDS did get the parts but it took multiple attempts to make it function properly after it was rebuilt. It was working properly when it ...

Great way to combine units!

By CLAUS B.

Great way to minimize hoses. The signaling device is a great bonus!

When you took dive lessons you learned to perform specific skills to make you safe and comfortable underwater and at the surface. One of those skills was buoyancy control. Once you start diving for fun you use your buoyancy control device constantly throughout the dive. Your octopus or alternate air source device on the other hand is never used unless there is an emergency out of air situation. Reacting properly in an out of air situation can make the difference between a safe dive and a tragedy. If your alternate air source and your BCD inflator device are one and the same, you will always know where to find it in an emergency.

The Aquatec Air-3 Alternate Regulator/Inflator replaces the conventional BC power inflator and second stage octopus by combining the functions of both into a single unit. It also is unique in that it also incorporates the Sub-Alert underwater horn. When you're taught how to dive you are given practice in buoyancy control more than any other skill. Once you start to dive every time you go underwater, fin the reef, or surface you use buoyancy control.

Be a safe diver with the Aquatec Air-3 Breathable Inflator with Sub-Alert underwater horn. The Sub-Alert horn works both underwater and on the surface. Activation of the horn requires only a very small amount of air from your cylinder. The volume is very high at 110-120 dB. Approximated surface range is about 0.50 miles. Every Air-3 unit's regulator is measured, and factory tuned to the prefect breathing resistance. The Aquatec Air-3 Alternate Regulator/Inflator comes with a 3/8" threaded low-pressure hose.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  will this fit onto a SEAC femme bcd hose?
JARRETT M  yes, as long as the bcd has a 1" hose to attach to the regulator/inflator, it will fit.
JAMES H  Will this fit on a Sherwood Axis BCD?
TIMOTHY T  As long as it is normal size large hose going to the BCD, it should fit fine and you'll use the low pressure hose that comes with the new inflator
JOHN R  Yes, provided the hose is the correct diameter where it attaches to the regulator/inflator.
JEREMIAH J  Will this fit a Zeagle Stiletto BCD?
DON H  I have a Zegle L? womens BCD for my daughter and works fine. Works on any standard 1" Hose.
Steve S  Yes, this should fit on your Zeagle Stiletto no problem.
DON H  This fits 1" inflator hose. I bought one for my daughters Zeagle Womens BCD and works great.
TERRY H  It fits my zeagle escape and it works fine
STUART E  i don't know, I used it on a Zeagle Scout so maybe...
MATT H  yes it will. you need to make shure that it comes with a high presher hose or get one that fits it. as long as you reg is post 2000 the end of the hose that screws in to it is universal.
JEREMIAH J  I know that im wondering if it will fit on the inflation hose that is connected to the bcd. My gf has a zeagle zena and I could not figure out how to get it to fit. I am waiting on my stiletto to get here
MATT H  every high preshur inflator i have owend that you breth out of requiers a bigger femail end on the hose. simply becouse you are now brething out ot it. i can not tell you with a definent that it will not fit. but as menchend before all of mine and all of the other divers on out serch and rescue team had to swich. hop that helped
DREW C  Yes, It comes with its own LP hose... I like it!
Shopper  Does this connect using a standard bc quick disconnect fitting?
KENNY H  if I reminder correct it comes with hose to fit if yours don't work
MICHAEL A  No, it's larger than a standard to allow greater air flow. However, you can switch out your LP hose. This Aquatec actually comes with a new LP hose. However, if you want a different length, you will have to use a regulator hose with a SeaQuest adapter. They aren't too hard to find.
DRAGO L  Is it compatible with the bc cressi travelight ?
DREW C  This unit comes with its own LP Hose, so as long as your first stage has the standard LP fittings, you should be fine. Great product for the money.
Steve S  I'm sorry, but this does not fit the Cressi Travelight. This fits a 1" corrugated hose, but the Cressi has a 3/4" hose. You can go with the Oceanic Air XS or the Aeris Air Link.
ANNA M  Can't speak for the travel light per se, but , just installed one on a cressi AquaPro. Also had one on a Dacor. Seems to be universally compatible. Hope this helps. Check with your dive shop. My guy installed it in about 5 minutes.
JOHN M  No it is not. I have a travelight. The tube is more of an oval on the bc.
