Let me start with I'm 6'3, 370lb, and wear a size 60 dress suit coat, 50 waist this wet suit fits me, i don't have a big belly, but definitely have one. It would fit a even taller guy. This suit looks great and fits great. The only thing is it takes some thought to get off, but gets easier the more you do it.
Great suit for the money.

This is my second purchase of an Akona wetsuit for few reasons:
Got great service out of my first one.
Pretty good price and value for what you get.
Akona makes larger sizes for bigger and taller divers.
Akona's Women's 3mm Jumpsuit is made from nylon-2 neoprene, has glued and blind stitched seams inside and out, with a rear entry YKK #10 brass zipper with low profile water sealing design. Akona's unique zipper design utilizes dual rubber strips to additionally seal the zipper opening when closed, creating a water-resistant closure. In addition, Akona's low profile zipper flap folds over a closed zipper to further seal and secure the zipper in its closed position. The reinforced pull loop at the base of the zipper and pull-tab leash makes self-donning of the suit fast and easy.
Akona's uniquely designed and stylistic knee pads provide exceptional grip and durability. Unlike the stiff rubber knee pads utilized on other suits today, Akona's revolutionary Akona knee pad material is fully flexible, and has a hydrodynamic low profile. Akona grab shoulder material provides superior wear and scuff protection. Designed to grip a buoyancy compensator to reduce shifting, the grab shoulders create a snug and movement-free fit. The unique pattern of the grab shoulder material also prevents excessive stretching of the suit when hung to dry. Suit is available in multiple sizes and is black in color.

My wife had an Akona wetsuit in the past which was stitched in a such a way that you could cut off the legs or arms to make a custom length without having it unravel. This was a great option and worked well for her. Are the Akona suits still made with this feature?

The way the current Akona suits are sewn together it would not be possible to remove the arms or legs without ruining the integrity of the core of the suit

There are so many brands. I am new to diving and want to have a 3mm suit. Don't want to spend a lot of money, but want useful and good fitting product. Which suit can you recommend for a new diver?

I have been diving off and on for over thirty years. I bought my wetsuit about three years ago and have had great results. It keeps me warm at depths of 90 tp 100 feet. It fits me well. I have no complaints.

I am 5"7 and 140 lbs....I have a 33" bust, 29" waist, and 37" hips...What size do you think I should get? Thanks
GREGORY S
what size do I need?
All fits are special. Buy two sizes and try both, my wife did, and send back
the one that does not fit .
Never buy one and not like the fit and hate to pay shipping to return, so you keep it and hate diving, if too tight.
Diving is special, and you should have one that you like the snug fit. And remember to be calm cool and ready to try it on. Relax in it and see if it cuts off any blood flow. Front or Side zippers is great for diving. And remember to get booties that fit and have full sole & heel and toe vinyl not wet suit material, works better when walking to boat or on coral.
I have been diving since 1971 and training on buying gear for 20 years, I am not working at a dive shop or supplier. I enjoy fitting divers the right way not, what the store wants to sell.
