About Akona Quantum Stretch Women's 7mm Jumpsuit (AKWS568)

The Quantum Stretch Jumpsuit is entirely made from 7 mm 4-way super-stretch neoprene for extreme comfort. All seams are glued and blind stitched inside and out. Glide Skin seal at neck, wrists & ankles, and the YKK #10-Brass zipper, with low profile water sealing design all add to the warmth of the suit.

AKONA's unique zipper design utilizes dual rubber strips to additionally seal the zipper opening when closed, creating a water resistant closure. In addition, AKONA's low profile zipper flap folds over the closed zipper to further seal and secure the zipper in its closed position. The reinforced pull loop at the base of the zipper makes self-donning of the suit fast and easy. The new AKONA glide-skin neck, wrist and ankle seals minimize water entry and flushing of the suit. The neck, wrists and ankles of these AKONA wetsuits are flush-cut for this purpose. The extremely slick surface and flexible properties of the glide-skin material enable the wearer to enter and exit the suit with ease.

AKONA's uniquely designed and stylistic knee pads provide exceptional strength and durability. Unlike the stiff rubber knee pads utilized on other suits today, AKONA's revolutionary knee pad material is fully flexible, and has a hydrodynamic low profile. AKONA Grab Shoulder material provides superior wear and scuff protection. Designed to grip a buoyancy compensator to reduce shifting, the Grab Shoulders create a snug and movement-free fit. The unique pattern of the Grab Shoulder material also prevents excessive stretching of the suit when hung to dry. Quantum Stretch 3 mm Jumpsuit is available in 6 sizes from 5/6 to 15/16 and comes with a 24 month limited warranty.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
BARBARA A  Was looking for a stretchy cold water suit; also read about it in the Scuba Diving mag
MaryEllen T  What temperature is this suit rated for?
RICHARD J  MaryEllenT, Wetsuits are like sleeping bags as far as 'ratings' go. It all relates to one's cold tolerance and comfort level. I've personally dove 52 degree water in a 7mm. in the past. Was I comfortable? ...not really. If I were buying a 7mm steamer suit, my personal take would be that I'd be using it in the mid-60's and up. Further (a.k.a. "important"): Fit is more important than Thick. You'll be warmer in a suit that fits better over one that is thicker. A thick suit with a river running down your back is not going to be warm. Sorry for the long delay in this response - just got back from a diving trip.
