Comments about Akona Low Cut Molded Sole 3.5 mm Boots (AKBT631):

I got these to use on my next trip to Bonaire. My Tilos boots were barly adequate for the ironshore entrys on my last trip. When I got these I knew that I had hit the jackpot. They are perfect for shore entrys over rock and broken coral. I had a little concern that the low cut back might slip off my heel. This proved not to be the case. They do not move around at all during my dives nor when walking. They also make donning and doffing my fins much easier than with the Tilos. I was surprised that even in the cold water up here my feet were warm.

            Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
LARRY L  Wanted thinner, hardsole boots than the clunky ones I had.
Andrew F  Are the sizes for men or women? I am looking for a womens 6 or 6.5
VALERIE N  I called before I ordered and they said they are men's sizes. I am a woman and have a size 8 1/2 foot. I ordered a size 6. They were a little short and they were very narrow. I returned them and haven't purchased a replacement so I don't have any other suggestions. Good luck!
Shopper  How did this boot fit? Loose or tight? It seems like the back might chafe against the ankle? Did you find that? Have you had difficulty removing from fins due to big sole? Would this protect if stepped on urchin or stonefish? Thanks!
Greg S  I wear a size 9 and have to return my size 9 to get a 10, as the length is too small for me.
