About Akona Dry Compression Sack (AKB795)

Keeping things dry at the beach, around the lake, when whitewater rafting or out on the boat can be a challenge, but Akona's Dry Compression Sack is the answer. This compression sack is a super lightweight, yet totally water proof bag. The tubular design maximizes volume but minimize space. The exclusive AKONA low profile purge valve allows the bag to easily compress with the vertical straps.

The top opening uses double sealing materials for sure closure; simply roll down the top three times for a reliable seal that provides protection from any rugged environment. The vertical compression straps with opposing buckles allow for multiple attachment options. Minimal stitching on the seams creates a trusty, waterproof design. This bag is made from ultra lightweight 50D Diamond ripstop nylon, with fully taped seams. The seams are waterproof to protect the contents of your bag. Bag dimensions are 22" in height with a 7" diameter (56 cm height x 18 cm diameter), with 846 cubic inches (13.9 liters) of volume, and a weight of 16.6 oz (0.5 kg). Compression Sack comes with a 24 month limited warranty.

The Akona Dry Compression Sack (AKB795) is commonly used for SCUBA Gear and more.

The bag is a great idea however, you cannot fit much inside due the the small volume of the bag. i had hoped to fit my lightweight sleeping bag inside but there was no possibility of this. you could, however keep a few clothing articles or valubles inside such as cameras and equipment. just don't plan on making it your stuff sack.

Comments about Akona Dry Compression Sack (AKB795):

I used this bag every day of a 7 day dive trip to Cozumel on the boat. It stored a dry towel, my valuables, tip money, a dry shirt and a few other things. The compression feature works with ease and is helpful on saving space. My items were always dry and "secure". Lightweight and easy to carry with the sewn on strap.

Water Permeates this bag if it's placed in a heavy Rain or if it hits the surface of the water at all. Not Really waterproof as advertised! It behaves like a tent insofar as, if the outside get's soaked and you touch it, water permeates at those points. A ziplock works better.

This is a nice dry bag, but they have sewn extra straps on it that I don't understand how to use. These straps do not tightly secure because they "slip".

                  Questions about this item:

Shopper  can the akona bag go under water? if yes how deep?
LeisurePro S  Sorry, this bag is just meant to be a surface dry bag.
Shopper  The measurement for this bag says 22"x7"... Does this mean 7" across because that seems sorts of small for 20 liters. Could a normal sized beach towel, t-shirt, phone and wallet fit in this?
LeisurePro S  That is correct it is 7" wide, and these items will fit, when the towel is rolled up
