Only way to inflate the three man tube while on my boat. Works like a charm...
Surprisingly pleased

I have used this on a couple of occasions and have not been disappointed. First time was on the Solstice Durango Kayak. Took maybe 4 to 5 minutes to completely inflate. Second time blew up my kayak and 2 others as well as a float. I was afraid it might give out after blowing up the last item, but it never showed any signs of stress.
Airhead's new 12 Volt Hi-Pressure Air Pump with Pressure Release Valve produces 3 times the pressure of other 12 volt air pumps. Therefore it does a great job getting towable, boats and rafts nice and firm for peak performance. Adapters are provided for all popular valves. A removable pressure release valve limits the output to 1.4 psi, (0.097 bars) the perfect inflation pressure for a towable. Peak pressure is 2.5 psi (0.17 bars), plenty of pressure to get high end inflatable boats, rafts and reinforced backyard items nice and firm.
The 21" (53.3cm) hose is heavy duty and reinforced with PVC coils to prevent kinking, durability and long life .This powerful pump draws too many amps to plug into a cigarette lighter. Hook it up to your car, truck or boat battery with the alligator clips connected to a 10' (3m) power cord. The Pump draws 28 amps/340 watts and has a volume of 14.5 cu. ft. (410 liters) per minute.

I like the options... will it work/adapt to my coleman air mattress?!
JOHN H
yes
Steve S
Yes. This will work to blow-up anything as long as the correct adapter is used.
SHUSTER, A
of course it will. it has so many adapters that would feet to anything but the pump itself very bad ,cheap plastic , noisy and it burnt down on my second use. The manual says do not run it more than 10 min. but it was gone on 4th
i think for air mattress it'll be ok i tried it for my inflatable boat
good luck

Why don't you offer this pump with plug in feature, would insert into cigaret lighter socket? Having to open hatches to get at the batteries is not easy, at least on my boat.
JEFF K
the amperage draw is too high for a lighter socket. It may get hot and start a fire or the additional resistance may cause the motor on the unit to become to hot and shorten the life.
ROBERT M
Jeff,
Guess that's reason enough. To bad they couldn't engineer it to accept the lighter socket.
Thanks for the input.

SURESH V
great item, using it for almost four years, working perfect.
ROBERT M
Hi Suresh,
Glad the pump works for you by connecting to a battery, but that doesn't answer my question. It would be a lot easier to connect to a cigaret lighter socket.

The AIRHEAD AHP-12R Rechargeable 12 Volt Air Pump SKU: AHDR12P comes with an insert for a cigarette lighter socket.

Some reviewers at other sites say this is so noisy they wear ear plugs. Is it really that bad?
Christopher B
I think it is a dramatic reply to say ear plugs are required. It makes noise, but it is also pushing a high volume of air which is expected.
KEVIN H
I do not wear earplugs while operating, although it is very noisy. The pump does fill inflatables at a very fast rate.
OTTO S
No, it is not that bad, especially when one compares it with other compressors.
VICTOR M
This is a high pressure pump and does generate some high pitched air noise as it is working. While it may be a bit noisy it sure beats any other version I have tried and it is noy painful.

I'll be outside andyway. Thanks

In my experience this pump is not excessively loud. Especially if used outside. I've had no issues with this item.
mike b
Thanks, I'm going to try it.
SURESH V
very good pump. For past 2 years used it may be 100 times. Working very well, no problem
mike b
Glad to know it's holding up so well.
JEFF K
It is loud but that is off set by the huge volume of air it puts out. I really didn't notice that it was loud. Just happy with the performance.
