I have owned these fins for well over a year now and have used them in the pool with students, at the lake, in the river, in the Cenotes and Cozumel. I love these fins. They have performed well for me and I get plenty of power. I've used them to fight the currents in the river and to swim upcurrent on various sites of Palancar reef. I'm about 215 lbs and they move me easily through the water. I get good response with a flutter kick or a frog kick. I would definitely buy these fins again if I needed a new pair.

I would recommend this product for someone that was going to dive in low current conditions. I have taken these fins on about 7 dives so far and they are a comfortable fit. In current conditions, these fins are decent at best, In the few conditions where current was a problem these fins felt like they lacked power to escape the current, but in calm conditions they provide a calm cruise.

Actually compared this product to my wife's fins that cost twice as much - these are lighter, quicker and easier to use (less effort required). Wife tried them even though one size to big and said she wanted a pair.

Used by daughter who also happens to be competitive swimmer. She does not need particularly large fins to generate power. These work great for her. Plus she loves that they are pink

          don't buy this one

          By neptune75

          from Alabama

          Comments about Aeris Mako Fins:

I bought these because they got good reviews. I am not sure if there was a bad lot in manufacturing, however I have experienced the same problem as several other reviewers. They did not even last through the first day of my training dives. They completely fold over in the water, they are bent at the foot joint and stay that way. my dive instructor had to loan me a pair of fins because these were useless.

          Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
LINDA A  Great strong fins for scuba diving and I liked the price on these. Easy to remove button for boarding the boat.
Scott S  Chart size *without* boots? My shoe size is men's 10-10 1/2 and I do not want to wear boots with these fins. Will the pocket be comfortable?
STANLEY S  I can only speak for myself, the pockets are not comfortable without boots. When I dive in tropical waters, I use very thin booties with thin soles, but I always use booties. The fins are designed for booties. You can also buy a bootless fin, but even these may chafe if you don't wear a dive sock.
cha s  what is the length of the XS fins? in cm or inches. thanks
OSCAR Z  The length for all sizes is the same... only the size of the foot pocket changes. I have size S and they measure 24 to 25" from tip of blade to back of heel strap, depending on where you set the strap. They easily fit in a large travel suitcase if that's what you are trying to determine.
