About Aeris Elite T3 Computer Complete with Transmitter

The latest in Hose-less Air Integrated Dive Computer Technology; The elite T3 is streamlined and ergonomically styled; yet the display is large and easy to read. Enjoy the freedom of eliminating a hose from your system, while enjoying the freedom of movement underwater with the elite T3 Hose-less Air Integrated Dive Computer. The elite T3 achieves a remarkable balance between features and usability, allowing you to focus on what's important the dive. With AERIS' wireless transmitter, the diver can also monitor gas pressure from up to three independent cylinders ideal for both technical diving applications with compatibility with up to three nitrox mixes to 100% oxygen and recreational diving.

Switch Between 3 Independent Wireless Transmitters The elite T3 is a sophisticated Dive Computer featuring AERIS' wireless air integration technology. A transmitter threaded into the first stage high-pressure port continuously sends cylinder pressure data to the wristwatch. Frequencies are individually coded to allow multiple divers to swim side by side without interference with other units, as well as allow advanced divers to monitor up to 3 independent cylinders. Because the transmitter and display module are independent and separately powered units, the receiver may also be easily used as a standalone, non-air integrated dive computer.

The Elite T3 Free Dive Mode calculates and tracks Nitrogen Tissue Loading - allowing users to alternate between SCUBA and Free Diving/Snorkeling. The Elite T3 provides accurate depth and time with an amazing 1-second sampling rate for subsequent PC download and analysis. Dive Time is displayed in seconds and minutes. Custom audible alarms include Elapsed Dive Time, Countdown Timer and (3) Independent Max Depth Alarms. You're at 80' (24 meters) with 1300 psi (90 bars) remaining in your cylinder - how long before you need to begin an ascent to a shallower depth? Our patented Air Time Remaining feature calculates your current depth, breathing rate, cylinder pressure, ascent time, and decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater.

Dive Time Remaining, like Air Time Remaining provides a 'real' number in minutes, considering Air Time Remaining, Nitrogen and Oxygen absorption, and automatically displays whichever allows less time. The 'Turn-Around' Pressure Alarm is a unique patent-pending feature that allows you to pre-program an audible reminder when you reach 1000 to 3000 psi in 250 psi increments (69 to 207 bars in 17 bars increments). This helps ensure that you return to your exit point with plenty of air. When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical inform ation, which would you rather see at 100' (30 meters)?

The elite T3 features a variety of system and user-customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potential danger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder. Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with your exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. Or maybe it seemed insignificant as that huge manta ray soared overhead. You won't miss the elite T3's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. We know what you're thinking. "That's nice, I'll definitely hear the alarm, but isn't that going to annoy me and everyone else in the water?" We thought of that too. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop. You're a responsible diver and the elite T3 treats you that way. So if you're looking for a computer packed with features, a 24 month limited warranty and comes with a comprehensive owner's manual the Elite T3 is the computer for you.

This computer has been great to dive with. I really like having a wrist mount instead of a computer on a hose. It is so much easier to check it and I find that I check it more often which is a good thing. I love the air integration. It has never lost transmitter reception for me. The dive time remaining feature is great because it figures how long you can stay down based on which happens first, out of air or decompression. You get a timed countdown of when you need to head back to the surface. Basically, it makes the caculations easy so you can concentrate on the underwater experience. I have been very happy with this computer so far and I highly recommend it.

I've now given this computer several hundred dives to impress me, but it still hasn't. In fact, it is by far the worst dive computer I've owned (and I've had several over a period of about 20 years).First of all, the instruction manual is horribly written. There is no logical sequence to it, it's almost impossible to find what you're looking for and it just doesn't make a lot of sense. The "quick reference" card, is useless. The print (at least on mine) is tiny and just slightly blurred enough to make it virtually unreadable. And if ever a dive computer needs a good quick-reference card, this one does. Its functionality is not intuitive at all and the little markings that are supposed to help you remember which button does what function are pretty worthless too.Put the last two points I made together, and it means that every time I take this computer underwater, I have to carry the manual with me and spend way too much time trying to find what the problem du jour is with the [*] thing.Three times now the computer has simply died in the middle of a dive. The battery was fine (yes, I changed it the first two times this happened). Many more times (haven't counted), it will continue to monitor, display and log my dive profile information (depth, NDL, time underwater, etc.), but stop acting like an air integrated computer right in the middle of a dive. I get no tank pressure, no time remaining...nada. There's no warning of having lost the link, it just suddenly stops working. Then there are the numerous "mystery alarms." I can be completely stationary in 15 feet of water, not ascending, not descending, regardless of time underwater, etc., and it will beep at me incessantly. No indication of what the problem is whatsoever. About the only things I'm happy with about this computer are its size and the fact it has user-replaceable batteries. I wish I had never bought it and will never buy another.I suspect I have a "lemon," but waited too long to return it.

Comments about Aeris Elite T3 Computer Complete with Transmitter:

Recently used the Elite T3 again (second big dive trip this year) for a full week of 3-per-day dives in Belize. I'm still liking the thing! Take your manual with you just in case you run into a problem with the buttons.

Comments about Aeris Elite T3 Computer Complete with Transmitter:

So far the computer is great, easy to read and operate on the surface as well as at depth. I use it for mostly diving but freediving too. My only gripes with this computer is that the manual is not the easiest to comprehend, which made me worried I would have trouble using it, but once I hit the water it was very intuitive. The transmitter works well too. It has a limited range but it's nothing to worry about when you're suited up. Overall a great computer.

Comments about Aeris Elite T3 Computer Complete with Transmitter:

This was my first purchase of a dive computer. I did my research, read the Leisure Pro reviews and decided to purchase to Aeris Elite T3. Good choice! As stated by several other reviewers, there is a steep learning curve with these little guys. So print off the owners manual, read it to get started and have it handy for questions that pop up. My wife and I used our T3s on numerous dives in Grand Cayman this week and had no problems. We used the Normal Mode with air only (no Nitrox) and had great success. Got home and was able to also review my dives in the Log. This unit is worth the money.

Comments about Aeris Elite T3 Computer Complete with Transmitter:

This was an awesome addition to my gear. It does have a ton of features and does require some reading to know what you are doing, but it works great, syncs easily to the transmitter, and I haven't lost signal during diving. The dive log software is ok but I prefer using Dive Log 5.

One of the best features is the protective piece that covers the actual face of the computer. It does scratch easily but is easily replaceable.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
THOM W  Long time ago, but I still am happy with this dive computer.
tom p  Can I use this w/o AI? I'm wanting to get a comp but want to rent Regs for now. Then when I purchase my own, I can then hook up the transmitter.
RICHARD M  The computer will work just fine. It will tell you that it has lost the transmitter link which gives you data on the tank pressure. You will have to rely on the SPG for tank pressure. When you buy regs attach the transmitter, enter the code and away you go. Good luck. Richard Mathers MSDT
Shopper  What are the differences between Elite and Elite t3?
Joe S  The Elite T3 is a newer version and can do multiple gases of nitrox up to 100%. It has an updated menu, a new look, and a few other features. Some are the safety stop timer is adjustable, you can add a level of conservatism.
