About Aeris AT 400 Pro Regulator with MaxFlex Braided Hose

Aeris' 400 Pro regulator's pneumatically-balanced second stage will be the work horse of your dive gear; it will keep you breathing easily dive after dive The diver-adjustable breathing valve allows you to control the airflow to match your breathing rate and body's air needs High performance over-balanced diaphragm first stage with environmental seal The first stage has two HP and 4 LP ports, weighs 29 oz (822 g) The all chrome plated marine brass first stage regulator is an over balanced diaphragm design which is environmentally sealed The diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for the surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids These environmental contaminants cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance

Taking another stride beyond common second stage engineering, the AT400 Pro features a pneumatically balanced valve that maintains a preferred breathing resistance throughout the dive Set it once and the AT400 Pro automatically adjusts to make breathing as easy at 100' (30 meters) as it is at 30' (9 meters) - with no additional manual adjustment A simple twist of the AT400 Pro's adjustment knob enables complete control set the inhalation requirement to near zero when you need ultimate performance, or tune it for greater resistance as conditions or preferences change

The 400 Pro's lightweight design and patented orthodontic mouthpiece mean you'll be comfortable and breathing easily throughout your dive and won't face post-dive jaw discomfort once you've returned to the surface Regulator comes with a 30" (76 2 cm) Hose The 400 Pro second stage with an outer ring diameter of only 2 67" (6 8 cm) and 5 4 oz (153 g) weight The Pro's second stage is made from an ABS/Polycarbonate composite blend of materials making it both extremely rugged and lightweight, reducing jaw fatigue on extended dives The 400 Pro is classified as being suitable for use with nitrox breathing gas mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen by volume without the need for special preparation, cleaning or component parts Second stage comes with a venturi control switch and diver adjustable inhalation The venturi assist deflector vane directs airflow from the valve directly to the mouthpiece producing a smooth "venturi assisted" inhalation Turning the venturi assist down, to a pre-dive position, prevents regulator free-flow while on the surface All Aeris regulators come with a owner's manual and a 24 month limited warranty
Due to MFG restrictions, this can be sold to the USA and Caribbean only

Bought two of these - one for me, one for my wife. Pairing them up with two of the Aeris Air Links. Should work nicely as an inexpensive travel set.

Defective right out of the box. Did not notice much difference on pre-dive or regulator breathing. Sent back to Leisure pro, ordered a differnt regulator.

Comments about Aeris AT 400 Pro Regulator with MaxFlex Braided Hose:

It works great. All my dives with it so far have been in currents of at least 2 knots. At that speed your jaw gets a bit tired from holding it in. Without current I think it'll be just fine.

I'm a big fan of the adjustability. I usually like the air flow turned all the way down making it 'harder' to breathe.

I've taken it in 72F water all the way down to 36F without a problem.

All around I'm happy with it.

Comments about Aeris AT 400 Pro Regulator with MaxFlex Braided Hose:

Main thing I like about this regulator is the mouthpiece, I was planning on putting a smaller one on because I have a problem with jaw fatigue but decided to give the original mouthpeice first. I was pleasantly suprised. The mouthpiece is comfortable and seems to form to your mouth while you are using it. Instead of having a solid piece its flex able and has ridges in it for more comfort. I had no fatigue whatsoever.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
HOWARD B  A balance of cost and from a company with a good reputation.
Shopper  Just to confirm that the Aeris AT 400 Pro Regulator, 1st stage is a YOKE version that can fit most tanks in the Dive center around ASIA? Please advise. Thanks.
BART R  I am not familiar w/ Aisa, but I'd bet it will fit as most dive places will have what u need. To make sure, contact the dive center there in aisa to make sure.
Jim B  1)Does this come with the braided flex hose? Says available with what does that mean. 2) how does this regulator perform in 50 degree water? 3) How durable is this regulator?
Frank L  Does NOT come with Miflex hose. Performs well in 50 degree water due to being environmentally sealed. This is a durable reg and should perform well for years.
