I bought this as an octo and to upgrade the lower assembly of my BC, Cressi Aquapro 5 BC. After connecting the BC did not hold air, leaking from main hose from the dump valve. Had to purchase a new hose. Other than that it works well and does its intended purpose well.

    P.P. - Practical Product

I commented that the unit caused "Jaw Fatigue", true though this is offset by it's convenience factor. I wanted to streamline my gear/hoses this compromise is acceptable.

Love this product, even if it hasn't gotten wet yet! I was surprised to find the LP hose that came with it was a braided hose - glad I didn't order one separately! Should make for a nice light travel set-up.

Comments about Aeris Air Link Regulator/Inflator Lower Assembly:

The functionality of this air link is great. It does exactly what it is meant to do. Ive got 10 dives on it with no freeflow problems. It breaths somewhat reluctantly, but that is perfectly ok for a back up reg. The power inflator is 'low performance" so it is easy to adjust buoyancy without adding too much air. The air link does its job well, without any bells or whistles.

The button placement is obscure/ not intuitive. There is a lot of play in the deflate button, you have to push it in 1/4th of an inch before it engages.

The quick connection on the power inflator hose is larger than the standard size. So the power inflator hose on a rental reg wont fit.

Comments about Aeris Air Link Regulator/Inflator Lower Assembly:

I love having an intergrated inflator/octopus. The only problem I had was the Air Link is large. I have a small hand so it was difficult to grasp it. At times I found myself using two hands to dump air. Plus it's the only one that I found that would adapt to my Aeris Contour BCD.

              Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ERNEST S  This thing attaches easily and allows you to use the BC filler hose as a your octo. It is rather comfortable to use if your arnt moving your head around too much. It is comfortable enough that on longer dives I will switch between my second stage and this thing to help reduce mouth fatigue.
COLBY J  Does this work okay for cold water (~34F) diving?
UTHMAN E  i have never used it in water that cold. i usually dive warmer water.
Nic D  Will this work with the Oceanic Excursion BC?
KEVIN S  Oceanic and Aeris are related companies targeting different markets. Many of their products are identical or cross-compatible. For example, the Aeris Airlink and Oceanic Air XS are essentially the same procuct, just different branding. It should work but only way to know for sure is either call Oceanic/Aeris Customer service or order it and try it out. If not, return it. I have never had a problem returning things to Leisurepro if they weren't quite what I needed.
