Being a leader takes courage, so when our general manager Max Par proposed to me a year ago that it’s time for a new website to accommodate the latest design, technology and bevy of new hardware people use nowadays. I gave him the green light to go ahead. We started, as usual, with you our customer. A survey was sent out, which brought many thoughtful ideas and insights into what our customers want. Then came the interpretations, the haggling, the debates, the back and forth between our designers, technicians, developers, and salespeople. We have expanded our product offerings dramatically over the years and extended into new product categories, causing our taxonomy to get cluttered. In our new website, we divided everything into eight distinct main categories. This will make it much easier for you to find new products for your water adventures.
All our categories are now in the header of the page with a flyout menu, to give you easy access to our entire product offerings in one easy space. You no longer need to scroll down the page to find the product category you're looking for.
We added the ability to search by a specific sport, so you can find what you're looking for, faster!
For our new listing pages — in addition to our current list and grid views — we included a compact-grid layout option, making it easier to browse especially for those using tablets or smaller screen sizes.
Our designers have completely reinvented the product page. We made the product image stunningly larger, added a lot of product videos, organized the available information in an clear and organized flow, and optimized every little detail to make your shopping experience as enjoyable as possible.
One of our primary goals during the reconstruction of our website was to intelligently integrate the latest technologies. We successfully included smart browsing, caching, and a lot of technological-speak improvements to make your browsing experience faster, more efficient, more enjoyable, and breezier.
Along with the technological innovations in our new website, we also worked with our designers to refresh our branding. The new Leisure Pro logo is more modern, and more fitting for our vision to be the most reliable watersports destination, with excellent customer service and an even greater shopping experience. The new website also uses a different font and a defined color style guide to improve consistency, and your browsing enjoyment.
