just what I needed to adapt my new octopus to my ancient 1st stage.

Some regulators have 1/2" ports on the first-stage for high-flow hoses, but all dive resorts usually carry only the minimum in spare parts, so don't lose out on a vacation dive because you now need to hunt the entire island for the right size hose. This adapter will get you out of trouble in a pinch. Adapter threads into your regulators high-flow port reducing it to a standard 3/8" port in a second. Adapter is made of marine grade chrome plated brass for long life and durability. Adapter comes with a low-pressure port O-ring and is designed for 200 psi (13.8 bars) or less. At times, you can never find the one you need. That is, unless your source is Leisure Pro.

Questions about this item:

Randy M  further to my first question I found the shipping rate thanks but would still like to known if this is the right adapter the hose from the reg is 1/2 and the adapter goes in the first stage and this is 3/8? R.T. Melnick
BOB H  No , your going large to small........This is small to large 3/8 female/inside/id (inside diameter) to 1/2 male/outside/od (outside diameter).....sounds like you want the reverse
FRANSISCO N  Yes this does work but take Reg. and the adapter to your dive shop have them check for leaks there should be none . Most of my old Reg.s are 1/2 in. these little guys came in handy . And most shops want $15. for them . Before you dive have all your gear checked by a pro .
MARTIN B  Yes, that is what I used it for, to allow the use of a Mares, which has the larger thread.
CHRIS J  Randy M I don't think this will work for you, if the end of your hose is too small to screw into the first stage this is the right adapter if the hose is too big to screw into the first stage you need a different hose.
STEVE &  No, this adapter fit into the FIRST STAGE hole 1/2 and accept normal hose with 3/8 thread.
JESSE H  Randy, This adapter is for standard 3/8" hose going into a 1/2" port on the first stage. (Will work with some Mares and older Apeks)
JOHN C  Randy If I understand you correctly, your house is1/2 and your regulator is 3/8 this is not the right part. You need 3/8 male to 1/2 female adaptor. The past number is AQUHAA. If you have any question, let me know. John
YAN G  If you are trying to make a 1/2" hose fitting fit into a 3/8" low pressure port, then yes, this is what you need.
Shopper  How much pressure will this support?
FRANSISCO N  Probably alot because its made of steel so in fact the important thing is how much pressure can the hose take.Your 2nd stage and Octo's and Bc inflators are all low pressure like 350 Psi ,Your gauges are on High Pressure Port oviously alot more pressure this adapter should work on both ports but check with your DiveShop. So your hoses are things that pop sometimes so I recommend to replace them new every 2 to 3 years
BOB H  It can handle the full tank pressure 3000-4500, depending on the tank. i've used it both for reg and hp service with no problems.
WILLIAM C  I can't speak to the maximum it will hold but I did put it on a first stage so I could adapt an older unit to a new hose and have had to problems or leakage. Hope this helps in making your decision.
STEVE &  This adaptor is to connect LP hoses. Those hoses are tested at 350-500 psi. I don't think the adaptor has any problem in supporting a higher pressure.
JOHN C  This is a low pressure fitting. The max pressure is 500 psi. This adapter is for the low pressure regulator hose.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
BRADLEY M  For existing regulator.
JOHN J  To modify my Mares Naval Abyss II low pressure port for my full OR facemask hose
RAYMOND A  I bought a new octopus for my rig and the hose is 3/8" connector and my old 1st Stage has 1/2" ports.
JEFFERY C  My first stage regulator is a older regulator and newer hose don’t fit.
RONALD S  inability to get 1/2" hose locally
JAY Y  Allows some older 1st stage regulator with 1/2" ports to use current standard 3/8" low pressure hoses and their applications.
JOHN K  Need adapter after purchasing an octopus rig with the wrong thread size.
RONALD Q  Purchased extra flex quick connect hose for my full face mask but my Apeks 1st stage has 1/2" LP ports and the hose is a 3/8" male.
Matt F  Purchased to convert 2 older US Divers- ProDiver series Regulators- S/N beginning with R2A and S2A- Units have 4x 1/2 ports. All new LP hoses come with 3/8 connectors... so it seems. This will make all regulators the same.
AMIR S  My two generation old Mares V22 1st stage has an unusual 1/2" LP port for the primary 2nd stage. I had to use this adapter in order to attach a Miflex hose.
