Snorkeling Fins

There's nothing like powerfully gliding through the water! Although you could swim without them, snorkel fins are critical for your safety, particularly in strong currents. They also protect your feet when near rocks and coral so you don't have to use your snorkeling first aid supplies. Fins also help you save energy by making each movement of your leg more powerful. If you plan to wear booties, look for open foot fins. By contrast, closed foot snorkeling fins don't require booties, and are a bit smaller for your suitcase.
