Appears to be very high quality

By HUGH A.

Haven't tested it in the water yet but it seems to be very high quality out of the box. The cord seems a little tight, but that may be fine in the water.

Quality, well built Product

By Diver E.

Much better product than I expected. Quaility materials.

We always need to attach more stuff to our equipment to free up our hands when we need them. Lanyards for lights, cameras, gauges, game bags, or maybe even a fish stringer when spear fishing. Having a few spare clips in your gear bag is a must for the serious diver. Low profile diving is smart diving!

This patent pending design represents a breakthrough in equipment coil connectors as it eliminates the webbing used in traditional coil connectors. By eliminating the webbing, the Innovative Scuba Concepts Smart Coil Lanyard reduces the overall length of the connector which streamlines-you-dive-profile. One end of the unique lanyard has a non-corrosive 360-degree swivel locking gate clip for quick and easy attachment to a BCD D-ring or accessory. The opposite end is equipped with a steel split ring for attachment to gear or accessory.

The lanyard will hold your accessory item close-at-hand with its squeeze-style side-release buckle. When you need to extend the accessory for use, simply squeeze the buckle and you can extend it out easily up to 36" (91.5cm). Smart Coil Lanyard is available in multiple colors. Innovative Scuba Concepts Smart Coil Lanyard makes a handy item for your save-a-dive-kit.

Questions about this item:

M W  Is this made by Aqualung? If not, who?
darrick c  Hello Mary, Innovative Scuba is the manufacture of this item.
JILL K  Will this work to secure a console?
MICHAEL G  No, it is not a good choice for that. because when unclipped, it will hang too far down. then you need two hands to clip it. for a console, i recommend a retractable lanyard. that springs back. this coil is more for gear that you only need to clip or twice during adive like a light or camera.
SIM M  Yes it will I believe :)
ALLISON R  Yes, although it would probably be too long when unclipped and too short when clipped. I use it for my dive lights, which I unclip during the dive. The lights hang down pretty low if I drop them because the coils stretch considerably. These are perfect for things like lights.
RIAZUDEEN M  Hi .... not sure what type of console ure thinking about ... but I use it for my dive lights and my underwater camera housing. I have an olympus TG3 camera housing .... it keeps it very secure and allows for movement when unclipped
SHAWN L  It is light weight and easy to release and reattach due to nice plastic connector so for entry and exits to the water it would do ok. I used mine for camera securing.
CHARLES M  Hello Jill, I have purchased a few of these Coil Lanyards, simply to replace my retractable lanyards that seem to break over a period of time, due to the spring loading, or the line that is used. I prefer this "Coil Lanyard" for holding my Dive Light. When I am really searching, I can un-clip, and have a couple feet of mobility, and then clip it back, to a shorter position, when I am ascending / descending. This "Coil Lanyard" is perhaps a bit too heavy for a simple Gauge Console, but it would work. I prefer a smaller retractable lanyard for my Gauge Console, since I simply let it go after I read it. Coil Lanyards are a bit more heavy duty than needed for a Gauge Console, but it will certainly work. I use my Coil Lanyard for my heavy 3,000 Lumens Dive Light. For a Gauge Console, perhaps consider a small retractor? Chuck M. Cape Ann Divers - Massachusetts
Shopper  What is the clipped size, end to end?
NAUM S  it is approx 8" in its natural coiled state. It will stretch to approx 24" comfortably. it will extend to approx 30" with a lot of force applied. Hope it helps.
MELANIE S  It stretches to about 2 feet if completely pulled taut.
SHAWN L  When closed the clip end to clip end is 5" Open will strech to 2.5 ft or a little more. It is quite compact.
Shopper  When extended, how long is it? 18"? 24 " ?? Thanks
CHARLES M  When the clip is un buckled, the coil will extend about 36 to 40 inches, and not much more. I have used several retractable lanyards with strings, and lost a light from breaking the string on the Dive Boat ladder. In my opinion, the coil lanyards are a better choice because they have no moving parts, springs, or strings, and you can easily clip the item, Dive Light, or Camera, at a close distance when you are done with it. Chuck
RON B  24" easy. We use it to keep the camera attached to the BC during the dive. it keeps it close to the vest and then I unhook one end and can extend the camera arms length for any shot. Has worked well for us.
MELANIE S  Fully stretched it's about 24"
Shopper  How far do they extend?
LeisurePro S  These coils expand to 36".
