Caribbean Dream

By PAMELA H.

I am very pleased with my Reef Tourer vests. I purchased them for a snorkeling trip to the Caribbean and they arrived just two days after I placed my order. They a comfortable, provide the support I wanted and pack and fold up easily. My kids and I both used them and felt comfortable without feeling like we were wearing something too bulky. Very nice product and fabulous service from Leisure Pro.

Experience a day of boundless underwater exploration with the Reef Tourer Snorkeling Vests, crafted meticulously to ensure your safety, comfort, and buoyancy. Ideal for a long day of snorkeling, these vests alleviate fatigue and boost your enjoyment in the watery depths. With available adult and junior sizes, they offer a fun-filled aquatic experience for the entire family.

Designed as a front mount vest or "horse collar", the Reef Tourer vest stands out in a striking high-visibility yellow, making it effortlessly identifiable in the water. Its excellent buoyancy - approximately 17 lbs. (7.71 kg) - allows you to move freely in the water without feeling weighed down.

Efficiency is key with this snorkeling vest. Inflating or deflating it while in the water or on land is a breeze, thanks to the 6" (15.2 cm) inflator valve. Moreover, its compact deflated size ensures it's easy to pack and store during travels, making it a perfect accessory for any snorkeling expedition.

Security is not overlooked; the Reef Tourer Snorkeling Vest comes with adjustable waist and crotch straps equipped with squeeze-style side-release buckles. This thoughtful feature allows you to safely secure the vest for a worry-free underwater adventure.

Questions about this item:

Mike N  What is largest size? I weigh 300lb.
RICHARD G  I bought large and am satisfied 230#
KEN Z  I weigh 200lb,6 ft. and it works well.I believe it will be enough for you.Worth a try. Good luck.
Mike N  THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 200 AND 300 LB.
Mike N  Will it work with a 48" waist?
KEN Z  MIke, perhaps a 100 lbs.I have 40 waist and there is apx.12 inches of webbing left. The worst would be that you need to add a little more webbing.Get out there and let me know how you did. Ken
YAN G  Adult is the largest size. Check the Blue Reef vest out, it has an XL size which might work better: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-blrsv/blue-reef-snorkeling-vest
MIKE S  When I bought mine I weighed about 285. There is room for bigger than me to fit in mine. I don't remember what size I bought, but I imagine it was the largest available. The vest works very well and I have used it a number of times.
wayne s  Is this a US Coast Guard approved flotation device?
PAUL S  No, it's only a snorkel assist device. Most places where you snorkel require or highly recommend them while snorkeling.
JERRY J  unknown
YAN G  No, it is not. Only a snorkeling vest.
DALE P  I don't believe it is.
Shopper  what is the actual size for adult and child?
CUONG D  Get adult size , you can wear for the child with adult size . So you can use it after many years , you can adjust to fix any size with adult size .
CUONG D  One size fix all , you can adjust to any size .
BRUCE M  I can only say the adult fits a normal size adult although the straps are long enough that it could accommodate and adult that was leaning towards super sizing.
Rhonda G  How easy or difficult is it to blow the vest up?
Steve S  This is very simple to blow up and deflate. You will just push down the top of the tube and blow into or let the air out.
BOB P  very easy bought this for my wife she had no problems by the way she is not a diver or snorkler
TIMOTHY M  Very easy. I don't know if my five year old (who wears the vest) could do it, but I would expect a teenager to do it no problem, and quite possibly younger than that. Any adult healthy enough to use a snorkeling vest should be able to inflate this no problem.
JACKIE M  hey, Rhonda - I only have one lung due to cancer, but found the Reef Tourer EXTREMELY easy to inflate - it gave me a great sense of relief. you go, girl!
SHAUN N  Quite easy. It is not like a balloon, when you must fight elastic resistance the whole time. There is no resistance until you are done inflating it.
PAUL S  Very little resistance....like a plastic bag.....you don't completely inflate it just enough to keep it buoyant. I use it to slow me to float face down....I don't inflate it like a life jacket.
BRUCE M  Very Easy, just a couple seconds to do
STUART S  I didn't use this myself, but was helping my 7-year-old snorkel for the first time. You can inflate it while swimming pretty easily. When you think about snorkeling, just breathing in (one breath of air) changes your buoyancy significantly. So, you only need a couple of breaths in the bag to make a big change in your buoyancy. The valve is well designed and so it's not like some inflatable rafts where half the work is blowing hard enough to get the valve open. The valve doesn't seem to add any work at all. It's also not like a balloon where lots of pressure builds up and you have to blow hard, because you're not trying to add lots of pressure. You're just trying to get some air inside a loose bag. Oh--and the question you'll want to answer when you want to free dive is how easy is it to deflate while swimming. If you turn the valve cap upside down and press it against the valve, it opens up the valve. Dip your body underwater and the water pressure will push all the air out of the vest.
CUONG D  It's very easy to blow it , it takes about 15 seconds .
Scooter R  270 pound adult. What make/model snorkel vest will fit? Trip planned 4 Sept.
CUONG D  Yes, you will be lighter when you are in water . Have a good time .
SHAUN N  I cannot speak for any other models but I would not suggest this vest as my wife uses it and I couldn't if i wanted to. I am 6 foot 240
PAUL S  The purpose of these is to give you a slight positive buoyancy. So the issue would be girth vs. length. The straps go around the middle and through the crotch. Your only choice is the adult. You slightly inflate it so you float and don't have to tread water all the time. In reality if you 270 and pure muscle you'll have to inflate it more. If your not pure muscle inflate it less. The less muscle the more buoyant you are naturally. You'll be even more buoyant in salt water.
