Cindy C If I use this item to clip guage console to my bc, will its metal interfere with my compass?
ROGER H I have used this and the stainless steel version on several lights and other accessories for years and have never had an issue with any of my compasses. The brass version is not magnetic , even the stainless version is low magnetic, and isn't large enough, or in close enough, to cause significant interference. R Hoestenbach, NUAI #37184.
ROLAND M Hi Cindy! No it will not interfere since brass can't be magnetized that meaning you can't grab it with a magnet. That is all your compass is a magnet with north and south poles which lines up with the earth's north and south poles. Something else the stainless rings on your retract are just like Brass so they to will not interfere with your compass also. That is if they are real Stainless rings. I hope this helped out.

MICHAEL M Brass is not magnetic and should not interfere with the compass. After all, old ships compasses were mounted in brass. Hope this helps.
SUSAN R U I have never had any interference with my compass. I've used the clip for years!
