Loretta W will this attach to the Zena and attach to the Oceanic Hera BCDs?

JAMES B There are 2 straps designed to attach to 2 tank cam bands, so it will work with the Zena. With only one cam band on the Hera it might leave the pony tank unstable, unles it is a small 6 or 13 cu ft tank.

RYAN F I used these to mount a 19 cu foot pony to the straps on my Sherwood Avid BCD. They are pretty versatile and easy to mount. Without speaking to your specific BCD, I don't think they should be a problem. I ultimately switched to a front mount for my pony because of difficulties trimming up with the bottle offset to one side. I found the quality of the straps to be good and have no complaints about them.

LOUIS M I don't kno about those. I have it on a Sherwood Magnum BC with double tank straps and it works great...probably 50 dives with so far, never a problem, tank easy in/out, never slipped, etc. Highly recommend the Zeagle.

RAY T The Pony Bottle Attachment Kit will attack to any BCD that has webbing straps to hold the tank. In 40 years of diving, since the cam tank holders went out of production, I can't remember seeing tanks held in any other way than with webbing. The attachment actually velcros onto the strap. Having had two other attachments for my pony bottle, I found this to be the best. It holds the pony bottle closer to the tank than any other system I have seen....lowering the profile.

CARL D Note in the specs that this connects to the tank band. What you are looking at in the picture is the band that goes around the pony bottle. It cam-locks just like a tank band and has a velcro over strap to keep the cam locked. A loop, like a belt loop, holds this band on the primary tank band. You put your tank band through the loop and tighten the tank band like you normally do. The nice thing is the pony bottle/battery pack stays with the back pack on the tank band. Hope that helps. I put mine on a Zeagle BC. I don't know anything about Oceanic's.

RICHARD Z They will attach to any standard 2" tank strap. They are best if you have double straps on your BCD but it is not required

Shopper can i uses this for my steel 40 ? also because it goes on your bcd, will it work if mine only has 1 strap ?

JEFFREY H Yes it will work on a 40. On a 40 steel I would use bth straps

WAYNE P I would not recommend that configuration for two reasons. A 40cf cylinder would not be stable on a single strap BCD. And, a cylinder that size would definitely have a turtle effect. I suggest slinging it.

DARREN L 40 cu ft won't work. Personally I wouldn't even mount a 30cu as a pony if you only have 1 tank band. These mounts are awesome for the intended purpose of holding up to a 30cu ft pony with 2 bands. Those tanks are long and heavy and with only a single point of contact (which is not in a cradle like your primary tank against the bcd backplate) they will twist and turn on you as you swim. I use a 13cu ft with one band -no problem, but that is substantially smaller and lighter. I always use 2 bands if hauling a 19cu ft tank - I'm using a Zeagle Ranger BCD and I think these bands are awesome. Easy to swap tanks etc.

PATRICK O This item works great, but since it mounts to the BCD straps I would look at a different option, I tried it with 1 strap and it does not keep the bottle stable.

BRIAN K It works great with a smaller bottle and two straps. I would not recommend it with such a large bottle and only 1 strap. I don't know how stable you would be with it.

RON T You really need a 2 strap BC for it to be secure. You could alsosecure one of the straps with a short bolt if you have a space. I love this item and bought several. I have them mounted on the back of my twin tank set ups too.

Shopper I have a new 13cu pony can I use this belt to attach my pony to my main tank, how many inches this item have?

LeisurePro S Yes this will attach your pony with no problem, it will even hold larger cylinders.

Shopper will this work on an avid bc,if not what do you suggest. i want to be able to put it on and remove and use other tanks

Comments about Zeagle Pony Bottle or Battery Pack Attachment Kit (2):

This is easy to mount and holds the pony bottle in a good position for me. However you need to have 2 tank cam bands on your BC to use this; otherwise it would not be stable. You also need to consider where on the cam band you want to mount it. I have it so the pony tank in on my right, hence the cam buckle needs to be more to the center to allow for the mount. If you have a lot of Velcro to hold down the slack end of the tank cam band you might run out of room to wrap it if the cam buckle is move to much. I have an OMS back plate and it all worked out perfectly for me. I just have room for this and a trim weight pocket which also is attached to my lower cam band. I like this mount better than the X type brackets, as the Zeagle mounts keeps the tank very close to your main tank, where as the solid brackets tend to off set the tank out an inch or two. Diving in kelp the fewer things sticking out the better.

I bought these for use with my Sherwood BCD and a 19 cu ft pony bottle. They are easy to install and should work with any kind of tank strap. Velcro loops attach to the tank strap and allow a wide variety of mounting options. It also gives the diver more flexibility by being able to quickly add or remove their pony bottle. Great product.
