Simon B Will this work with the new Uwatec Meridian and my partners Uwatec Aladdin 2g?

WILLIAM K It will work with the Aladin 2G but not with the Meridian. The 2g uses infrared technology for the connection to a PC, the Meridian uses a USB connection which require the USB cradle accessory. This information is available on the Leisurepro web site under the accessories tab on each of these items. Hope this helps.

Shopper will this work for the Aladin Air Z O2?

WILLIAM K The Aladin Air X O2 does not use an infrared device to communicate with a computer. There is other hardware required to accomplish this that is described on page 87 of the user manual for the Aladin Air Z. This item will NOT work with the Air Z O2. Hope this helps.

Shopper will this work with the aladin 2g wrist watch?

WILLIAM K If you are referring to the Aladdin 2G or TEC 2G "dive computer", they both use infrared technology for data transfer and will work with the Uwatec Smart Infrared Device. In fact, I had no luck when I attempted to use a third party infrared device for data transfer. Hope this helps.

Shopper anyone know if this works with the Sub Gear XP10? I read that the XP10 is exactly the same product as the Uwatec Aladin so it should work?

LeisurePro S Yes, this is compatible with the Luna.

LeisurePro S Yes, the cable should work fine, but you may need to download the new version of SmartTrak for Windows 7. If can be found for free download on Uwatec's website.

Works spectacularly!

While the manuals (and all manuals from Uwatec, for that matter) could use a serious rewrite, the product performs flawlessly. One thing to note if you seem to have problems with the unit: if the red light on the IR head is "solid-on" and not blinking, the unit has frozen and needs to be unplugged and re-plugged. Other than that, it provides a seamless interface between the dive computer and your PC. Most of the functions of the Galileo are far more easily set on the PC, so you'll find this handy. Additionally, you can load B&W bitmap pictures (maps, deco tables, etc.) on your Galileo via the PC using this interface.

I bought the SOL wrist diving computer but no where in the instruction book did it say you had to buy the SMART IF device as a separate option. At first, I thought it was missing from the set. When I discovered that I also needed to buy the $68. option I was pretty upset. One would think after spending [$] for the SOL they would include the device. Dont get me wrong the SOL computer is really great!! BUT I am still trying to figure out how to use the IF device with the CD's I received so my SOL can "talk" with my laptop. Todate, I can't seem to make any sence out of it. The handbook is, at least for me useless!Even my 13 yr old computer geek can't seem to figure out how to make the SOL talk with the laptop either.I guess there are people out there who have the smarts to make the link work---but I am not one of them =(

Works great on MacOSX although JTrak is nowhere near as feature-rich (or as functional) as ScubaPro's Windows software. It works great on the Mac using VMware as well.

Being able to download info to my PC from dive computer is great! As I experiment with photography I can add photos to each dive!.....And I can keep track of fish, air usage, make notes etc I am still learning some of the functions. With out this product, all of that info would be locked in the comp. or forgotten in my brain!

Unfortunately I had the wrong software for this item, Datatrack and spent a couple of days trying to get this to work and was about to send it back. I got on Uwatec website and found the right software SmarTrack. As soon as I installed the software to transfer between by diving computer and my computer worked flawlessly.

Service and delivery comments:

My wife ordered this product as a gift for me for Christmas in early December and unfortunately did not arrive until after Christmas. We had to put a hold on the delivery at UPS distribution center as we're out of town when we found out that it was being delivered. Once an item is put on hold with UPS they will not deliver it nor transferred to and other UPS distribution center that was only 5 miles from us. We had to drive 40 miles round trip to pick up this item. Had the item been in stock at the time, I would have been delivered prior to Christmas and we would not have had the hassle and expense of driving to the UPS distribution center to pick it up.
