I bought this reg because I did't have the money to go all out and get a top of the line reg. It is nice for the money, but there are many others that are better. I had a serious problem with this reg on my first open-water dive at 80 ft off Melbourne, FL. Just as soon as I hit 80 ft. an o-ring shot out of my regulator and into the back of my thoat. I choked on it while I went for my octo. Things were crazy for a minute, but that type of failure for many rec divers could spell disaster. I have a lot of Tusa gear and this is the only piece I'm skeptical of. I still dive with it after servicing and have not had a problem in over 9 months. I did start backing up my dives with a pony bottle since this happened.
