Questions about this item:
Stefano D To anyone who has used the Tusa Voyager, can you tell me whether the air cell is primarily restricted to the back? Is it a hybrid system? Do the side panels also inflate? I'm also unsure about proper sizing. At 170cm (5"7") and 63kg (140lbs), should I be considering a medium or a small? Thanks!
CHRISTIANO T Hi, I have it for a while now and so far it was a great buy. It is really comfy and light. It inflates on the side like a normal BC. I am smaller than you and I have a medium size.
Stefano D Thank you for the response. If you put on the BCD securely and then inflate, do the sides start to squeeze you? This is what I dislike most about my existing jacket-style BCD, so I don't want to repeat the mistake. I also worry that mobility below the arms is reduced if the air bladder wraps too much.
You mentioned that you are smaller sized, but wear the medium. Based on your experience, would you prefer to change to size S?
CHRISTIANO T Hi, I am 1,63 tall and 70kg. I have no problem with the medium size. It inflates on the back and on the sides and I never felt squeezed. M should fit you just fine. Remember this is a travel BCD and its main advantaged is the really light weight (it is really light). I use it to all my dives and I couldn't be happier with it but this is me. Other thing is that is a BCD for tropical waters. It will not keep up you on the surface if you carrying 10 or 12 kg of weight. I use a short 4mm suit with 4 or 5 kg and it is perfect. Good luck with the purchase.
BRIAN C Hi,
I can't answer youtr question of size, but I beleive the air cell does wrap around you to some extent. I was very happy with the quality and funtionality as well as price. I live in the tropics and climate is ruff on B@Cs but has held up well.

Shopper I'm male, 5'11 in height and weight 160 lbs. What size would you recommend for me? I used to wear Dacor Talon in medium size.
KEUNYONG L hi, now I'm using Tusa BCJ 1800(Large/Xlarge) for 6 months.
I think you may be normal schelecton.
I am same as your height and weight is 175pound.
When I use this stuff, I make both shoulder and waist strap all the way tightly..
(I mean LargeXlarge one is little bit bigger than my body)
but, this BC isn't wholely big size cause of travelling purposed.
Shoulder strap is very thin and there isn't waist strap(just 1 buckle)
(It sometimes uncomfortable to wear this jacket both on a boat and at on surf
but there is no big stress)
This stuff's merit point is very comfortable and well fit in the water.
And buoyancy is lower than other BCs..so you can drop 2pounds weight or more..
I recomend you buy Medium one. If I buy this one again, I will use
Medium size.
Have a good shopping and enjoy safety diving.
Shopper 1) Specs say Medium 4.4 lb but Scuba Lab (Testers Choice) says 6 lb for large ...wow 1.4lbs for one size . Any info on this ?
2) I can't find any reviews for this BC ...Good or Bad ? Any suggestions ?
Shopper i'm buying for my sister she is 5'4 in height and 115 lbs what size would you recommend s/xs?
KRZYSZTOF W I think small will be good
CARL M I have a Tusa Voyager BCD in small size. I am male, 5'4"in height and weigh 118 lbs.... it fits well and I am very happy with its light weight and performance.
Shopper Does it has a knife grommet?
CHRISTOPHER H It's great that you reach out to customers to help answer questions. Unfortunately, I returned the Tusa Voyager because it didn't have the weight capacity I needed. I did not notice whether the BCD had a knife grommet. I ended up with an Oceanic Islander 2.
Brett H This BC does not have a knife grommet but you can mount many BC knives on the pocket area of this through the material.
Shopper What is a total amount of weight it can carry? What is the lift in size large?
LeisurePro S The large has a lift capacity of 33 pounds. The voyager has a 26 lb capacity (16 lbs releasable, 10 lbs non-releasable trim weights).
