For new divers, $200 fins are a running joke in the diving community. You DON'T need them! Fancy looking gimicks are just more stuff to break. This is a great fin for the newly certified diver. That said, all plastic fins will wear out in 200-300 dives, which is why the military and tech divers stick with rubber fins, like the scubapro jet. (those suckers are heavy though)I'm debating buying my 3rd set, or going to rubber fins. I have ~700 dives logged now.Split fins are good if you are over 40 or prone to leg cramping, but they are not good if you need ankle weights or want to frog kick, so I avoid them.

I like Tusa Products, Just not this one. It's really cheap so if you can't spare another dollar these will work. I found them to become more flexible after 10 hrs of use or so. I used my brothers Tusa Split fins - Xpert Zoom. I wish I hadn't been so cheap. Those are the fins you need to buy. Twice as fast as these, no complants on them. Don't make the mistake of being cheap or be too stuburn to try split fins.

Comments about Tusa Imprex Open Heel Fins:

My son and I bought these to get certified in SCUBA. They worked great for us. Starting out I didn't want to pay a ton. Split fins look like they might be better but to get started these have been great.

Fin Pockets are best kept at their original size by using the inserts which are provided with them(between dive days)

Comments about Tusa Imprex Open Heel Fins:

For beginning divers buying their first pair of fins these are alright, otherwise I do not recommend them. If you have and distance to kick on surface what so ever, these fins will kill your legs. Also on long dives my legs burn.. I will say after about 40 dives on these the straps and clips have held up very well. These are fins for budget divers just getting into the sport.

Comments about Tusa Imprex Open Heel Fins:

I just started SCUBA diving and was not 100% sure I would like it, so I didnt want to spend a fortune on equipment. A friend of mine told me about this site says he uses it all of the time. I ended up buying these fins since the cheapest at the Dive shop 3X's as much. I love my fins, there is nothing about them that I do not like.

Comments about Tusa Imprex Open Heel Fins:

These fins work well. I was diving with a group of people who had split fins and found it difficult to keep up with them. Overall a good product.
