Shopper I would like to know if this is a cold water reg (for ice diving a few times per year and below 55 on a regular basis)? I have read some reviews that say it will not work (freeflows) under 55. Please advise. Thanks.
MICHAEL E I dove in the Galapagos last month and it got down to 51F and the reg worked fine, no problems- did three dives each about 40 mins. I like warmer dives usually and this is the coldest that I have dove- normally in the 80s!! I had a minor problem in Cocos earlier in the year and the reg fluttered but I adjusted the manual flow and it flowed evenly then. Other than that it has been great and very easy to care for- have had it for 3 years now had it serviced for regular maintenance once.
CHAD B I use this 1st stage in combination with the AGA full face mask for public safety diving, I have not had any problems with it up to this point. We sometimes have to dive in less than ideal conditions. The lowest temps that I have been exposed to would be in the mid 40s and I personally have had zero problems thus far.
Jason S Sounds like they did not fix the problem. I sure do like the sound of it. I'm going to get the blizzard. I can't have a free flow on a dive at 175 feet that would be a big problem. Thanks for the advice. I still want to hear what Leisure Pro has to say about it.
JAVIER F I bought one and it free flowed in 43 degree water at the local lake I returned it and they said it was a fluke and that sherwood worked out the problem and that none of the new ones free flow, got the new one, guess what it free flowed! Dont buy it, I returned the second one and bought three Zeagle flathead 7's with din and yoke adapter, I have used all three in 40 degree water and their awesome. I have an extra one that I've only used 3 times in high springs florida for cave diving, I'll sell it to you for 450 if your interested let me know
ARTHUR B i don't go in water that cold
