Comments about Sherwood 2011 Magnum Regulator:

I used this reg for 10 dives in Cozumel recently it worked well.
The 2nd stage on this regulator is a really nice design, light, comfortable and easy breathing with good bubble dispersion. The mouthpiece could be better but that's typical of most regs and I wish it was possible to remove the front cover occasionally for thorough cleaning.
The 1st stage is nothing like the simple, robust old Sherwood first stages. It is quite a complex design in my opinion and relies on a Schrader valve to maintain correct IP- I am not convinced by it and would have preferred a re-design of the original Sherwood magnum first stage with better flow characteristics! This second stage mated to a high performance simple piston or diaphram 1 st stage would be a winner!

This is a solid regulator. Never had any issues with it. The thing is a workhorse.

The Sherwood Magnum regulators did not give me enough air to breathe. It was hard to breathe from. I exchanged my two Magnum regulators for a Sherwood SR1 regulator and what a difference in breathing. The SR1 gives you effortless breathing compared to the Magnum regulator. Save and pay a little more and buy your self a better regulator.
