JEFFREY C It is a secondary benefit, one I like a lot. The main reason for the colored lenses
is for color correction for the colors the water filters out as sunlight reaches
deeper depths. Water filters out red first, roygbiv, blues and greens last.
JONATHAN J I bought the seavision 2000 mask several years back. The red lenses bring some color and clariety back while diving at depth. To me they are not like suglasses as for as cutting down glare. However I never use mine anymore because it does not fit me properly. To prevent it from leaking I had to tighten the strapes so tight it hurt the bridge of my nose. In my opinion I would not recommend this mask. I saw some other masks with a yellow lense that may cut down the sun and glare. That type may be better for you. Hope that helps.
LYLE H I have purchased several of the SeaVision Masks, and given them away to locals on dive trips. With respect to the rose colored lenses, an employee at Turneffe Island Lodge in Belize told me it was the first time he could see the fish in the Belize river. These lenses brighten the colors on the reef. The yellow lense is for dark low light whereby it increases the apparent light in dark water. I recommend both masks and I have many other top manufacturers' masks.
AIR C They don't work like sunglasses but they do enhance colors under water. You won't get as much glare face on with these lenses but you will still get glare if the sun hits you from the side. This happens with any lens. I prefer these lenses over clear lenses.

JOSEPH B It doesn't work like sunglasses under the water. The lenses actually bring out color and contrast, making most objects underwater seem clearer, however on the surface the tinted lenses do double somewhat to sunglasses. I highly recommend the mask my wife and I both own seavision masks and love them.
