Shopper I have to choose from a mask color. The item description does not specify wha is the color area/part of the mask I am chossing from?.
DANIEL G The mask color is generally associated with the rim around the lense. I bought this mask for my wife, and she finds it very comfortable, unfortunately to the point that might teenage daughter basically now calls it hers because she likes it so much. The red lense color really works on the deeper reefs in the Bahamas also.
KATHARINE R the color is almost clear (in this picture), just as it states. I do believe the skirts come in other colors, but for more ambient light I suggest the clear.

AMY C The color is just for the thin border area around the pink lenses which in the picture is black. All the lenses are pink and the mask clear. This is a great mask, the color difference is vibrant. Enjoy!
JOHN M The mask ( not the glass area) is silicone white. Opaque so you can't look through it but it lets light in. The mask not being solid black does not give the tunnel vision or horse blinder effect, although you can't see thorugh the mask part it allows light in. The glass is pinky red. When you wear it underwater it filters the light spectrum through the lens so that the coral colors are not so brownish and colors are more vivid. We think these work good - not a fantastic difference but we are pleased with ours. We bought these in 2009 and have dived 20X with them. Still in great shape. good lasting quality.
Madeliene W I bought two of the 2100 - as Keli indicates, the lens frame is the black/blue color on the 2100. Lens is magenta and my skirts were both clear. I have never tried the black skirt.
This mask is great for snorkeling. I bought one for myself and then bought one as a gift.
KELI L I also highly recommend the purge valve on this mask, and like the clear skirt.
KELI L The colored area is the little plastic frame around the lenses - the black part in the stock photo. It's a great mask, and you can't see the colored part when you're wearing it. It's just for looks from the outside.
