Shopper Hi, I have a 1200hd sea and sea camera with a Ys-110a strobe right now and I am going to buy a second Ys-110 strobe. My question is how can I connect both strobes to my camera case? Do I need to buy some aditional accesory to connect two fiber optic cable L to my case? Or Can I connect the second strobe to the first one with any cable? Please tell me what can I do.
TOM W I have the same question.
I bought the second fiber optic cable and plan to velcro it to the camera housing very very close - as close as I am able - to the first fiber optic cable. This should allow the camera's flash to trigger both strobes.
If that doesn't work I may try to wire the second strobe from the first since I understand this can be done, although I don't know how at this time, but I'm hoping this won't be necessary.
NICHOLAS G Two fiber optic cables can be connected to the DX-2G but I'm not sure about the 1200hd. Even so you should be able to set the second YS-110a to act a slave an trigger from the flash from the primary one. That should work without any fiber optic cable.
JIM V You can either connect the 1st strobe to the second strobe directly thru an optical cable (from the front of one strobesdiffuser to the other - but then you need to have the diffuser on) or you can rig up something that allow the internal strobe to trigger both optical cables at the same time (I epoxied a piece to my camera case so the internal stobe would trigger both)...
Both seem to work well....
STEVEN G Connect the 2nd fiberoptic cable to the ports on the bottom of the front of the 2nd strobe and use it as a slave strobe.
BRUCE H You will need a duel strobe arm tray. they allow you to mount the tray to the base of the UW housing. There should be 2 fiber optic ports near the front of where the strobe fires through the housing.
