SCOTT A I have one for my wifes computer, it works great. See hates filling out log bookd, so I can print off the page and enter it into her logbook. So easy. Just remember to set the computer to transfer mode.
Jin R Can I use this for my mosquito computer? I bought it several years ago, so I am worry about the adaptation of the Interface of computer
SUSAN S Jin, Go to the suunto site to download the software. Just search for the software download. The cable should work as suunto has only the one type of connection and it says the software will work with the mosquito. I think the moves count is a new site suunto has but I don't know anything about that new site.
SUSAN S Yes, I believe you can. The old suunto dive manager software has been replaced by Suunto DM4 and you have to go to suunto website first. It tells you to go to movescount dot com and you can download the new software they have from there. It does show that the it will work with the mosquito.
Yes, there is an app for that. Suunto software used to be only PC compatible but now has a Mac version. Yeah!!!
Or I think you can still download the old Dive Manager from Suunto and since the mosquito is an older model, should work. But it is only for PC.

JOE H I don't see why not. I actually have DM 2.3. The cable has a USB plug on one end and a special plug to hook to your dive computer on the other end (I have a Cobra). I can't imagine the version of software would make a difference on the plug. The program is cool. It's fun to see how your profiles look in graph form.

JAMES D I am pretty sure it does as I use DM as well but not version 4. I wouldn't expect Suunto to not make it workable.
Nancye T My sister has Cobra 1 and I have Zoop -this works fine with Zoop but not with Cobra 1 - is there a different cable for the Cobra 1?
LESLIE B That is the cable that I use for Cobra 1 and 3 as well as
Mosquito.
SCOTT A Make sure you are in transfer mode on the cobra, go tomodes and look for tran mode. it should then transfer your dasta .
PETER R as long as the connections made to the Cobra are the same as the Zoop, I would make sure that the Device driver for the Cobra was installed correctly, from the installation disk..
also, you may want tom find if there are any other known issues by Googling this issue.

LeisurePro S Unfortunately, this Suunto download cable only fits the newer generations of computers; we don't carry the old style interfaces for the Solution/Alpha/etc.

LeisurePro S Suunto does not make a download kit for Apple directly. There is some Mac dive software you can download yourself and use with Suunto computers, but it is not made by them.

LeisurePro S The cable connects to the computer via a special piece that attaches to the water contacts. The water contacts also double as data transmission sites.

CARL D I've had several issues with the software. Make sure you have the latest version. Seems as if there was a driver issue. Be sure to check the Suunto support site.

GEORGE W Make sure the computer is in PC Transfer mode prior to connecting the cable and starting the SDM software.
Marilyn S Have you pressed buttons to get it in the correct mode or just connected it with the cable? You need to press as follows:
Mode once - Turns computer on, then
Mode once - Enter menu, then
Time once - Enter memory mode, then
Mode once - Select memory mode, then
Time 3 times - Enter TR - PC mode, then
Mode once - Select TR - PC mode
Writing in a log book is time consuming and if you don't have good handwriting illegible. Log books are small and difficult to fill in the blanks. The Suunto PC Interface is for uploading logbook dives to a PC in order to optionally store and organize the data, computer statistics, simulate dives and personalize the logbook file. Rather than filling out the logbook, just print out your log sheets to prove your diving experience
