Shopper What makes this a better computer than the Gekko? Thank. By the way, is it smaller or bigger than Gekko?
LeisurePro S The Gekko and Mosquito are very similar in function, but some like the smaller size of the Mosquito. The Mosquito is smaller and can be worn as a day to day watch. It also has a few standard watch functions (stopwatch, etc) that the Gekko, which is bigger and couldn't be worn daily doesn't have.
Shopper Please clarify one of the FAQ'S It says the Mosquito can't switch oxygen percent on the fly in the middle of a dive. Will it let you change oxygen percentage during surface interval in the same dive day?
LeisurePro S Yes, PO2 can be changed before any dive. Here is a link to the user's manual if you would like to read more about it.
Shopper Does the Mosquito you stock give depth in feet or meters.
LeisurePro S The computer can be set to either metric or imperial by the user.
Shopper Are there other colors or only the yellow one on sale? (maybe black or gray?)

LeisurePro S The Mosquito is as simple as a computer can be. A novice will need almost no effort and the display is easy to read. Just go diving and it will activate it's self, the buttons allow you to scroll your dive and a PC download kit is available for transferring the info to your pc.

The Suunto Mosquito is an advanced wrist top dive computer for active water sports enthusiasts. With complete air and Nitrox capability and a separate free diving mode, it is suitable for all kinds of diving. The Mosquito is made of composite materials, is streamlined and lightweight, provides watch functions and stopwatch, and has a user-replaceable battery. The Mosquito is water resistant to 100m, has user changeable units, and supports the Dive Manager PC interface. The Suunto Mosquito provides different operating modes for different types of diving. In Air mode, it is an advanced dive computer with full decompression capability. In addition to complete dive functions, the Mosquito provides extensive memory functions, profile recording and dive planning functionality. The logbook can keep up to 36 hours of diving; the lifetime dive history is also recorded. The model can be adjusted using personal/altitude settings. In Nitrox mode, the Mosquito provides the same functionality as the Air mode, but also enables the use of Nitrox mixtures with an oxygen content of 21-50%. The Mosquito has an adjustable PO2 limit (1.2 - 1.6 bar) and tracks CNS% and OTU by a graphical display (Oxygen Limit Fraction). For free diving, the Mosquito also provides a Free diving mode with an accurate 2-second depth and time recording interval. SCUBA and freedives are kept in separate profile and history memories. Complete Watch Functions In addition to the diving modes, the Mosquito has a Time mode, which turns the Mosquito into a water-resistant sports watch with complete watch functions. The Mosquito provides a 12/24 hour time display, dual time function, calendar date, daily alarm, and a timer/stopwatch with split time measurement. The Mosquito is water-resistant to 100m.
