The Sporasub ONE Reel comes in two models the 50 and the 80. Both models are characterized by their reversible vertical winding and folding reel arm. The Sporasub Reels are compact and clean. This low profile limits turbulence while fishing, and reduce imbalance that a large reel can give a spear gun. The vertical position of the winding barrel and the line guide prevent bird nesting or tangling to occur. A wide line brake allows quick modulation of the release of line. The drag can be released quickly with only one hand by holding the reel from turning for a moment so that the line tension releases the drag (which happens because the reel winds in reverse), eliminating the need to fiddle with the drag while fighting a fish and attempting to ascend at the same time.
