Comments about Stearns/Sevylor Sevylor U265 Samoa Stand Up Paddle Board:
This SUP has been great for a year but recently deflated it then the high pressure spring valve stopped working. I can't find any info on how to repair it. Up till then I was very happy with it.

complete beginner enjoys maiden voyage
By lazy paddler
from Seattle, wa
About Me Beginner
Took it out on the maiden voyage this sunny weekend, initially thinking I could fit it in a bike pannier (HA!) and wound up begging a ride in a car and putting it in my hiking pack (just barely fit w/paddle). The pack that comes with it is too uncomfortable for long distances FYI- and we parked far from the water. Next time I'll bring it by bike, but with a bob trailer. It inflated fine (although was difficult to get up to suggested PSI). Forgot to put the fins on first, so had to deflate, put on fins, then inflate. Then was on the water paddling in a kneeling position for awhile until I got up the nerve to stand (the water was COLD and I didn't want to fall in!). It felt stable, though I couldn't paddle more than twice to a side without going in circles (this could be a beginning technique thing though). It was slow, which was fine with me, and I'd guess if I could get it up to 12 PSI (recommended 10-12, and I stopped at 9 PSI) it may be faster.I wound up in the middle of a small lake, so I sat down, hooked my paddle under my knees and sprawled out on the board with my feet dangling off either side in the water and floated for awhile. Soooo peaceful. Though the thought of a possible leak made me nervous- this thing would sink like a rock without the air. Good thing I'm a strong swimmer.So- in closing- this is a pretty neat-o board- not super performance but a good solution if you have a bike trailer but not a car. I'm going to avoid rough water and any shores with sharp rocks/ oyster beds for obvious reasons[...] ALthough it is so heavy I was worried it wouldn't float!

Great board good price

About Me Recreational
Great board for a good price. I've been using mine on the Huron river & hope to get to the west coast of Michigan to do some great lakes surfing with it. Good for fishing and day tripping. The only thing that slightly bothered me was that the directions were somewhat vague and I had to figure out the inflation valve on my own. Otherwise, this thing is great & I can't wait to take it out this weekend.
