Shopper This product comes with hose protector?
ROLLIN E I just checked my rig, and it had a yellow hose protector on the R295. Putting a yellow hose protector on the octopus is a level of detail which I would have missed, so I'm pretty sure it comes with the yellow protector installed.
RANDY M When I purchased a couple of years ago it came with one. I would recommend the reg to anyone though. The only thing I would change is the piece they give you to wrap around the mouthpiece to prevent dirt from getting into it. It constantly falls out, but very good otherwise.

DOUGLAS C i dont know the wt of this octopus, it feels light., it is practically irrelevant under water. function wise, it is superb, very smooth, in fact i feel it performs better that the regulator in my scubapro mk25- s 600. i recommend it without hesitation
LOUIS B My Gram is pretty light, but my Gramps is a bit heavier, so I'd say 2 Grams, and half a Gramp. 1and 1/2 Grams if she's holding a plate of cookies.
manolis p How deep can I dive with this octo. ?
JON C I have no idea how deep you can dive with this octo but during a wall dive I was R E A L L Y ewnjoying I looked at my depth gauge and at once knew I wasn't paying any attention. I was at 160 feet and still going down breathing as normal as I should have.
I have been using Scubapro since 1974 and have never been disappointed with performance.

DAVID D 1,000 feet or so. I guess it'd stay together OK. Now if you want to come back up then I can say mine has been to a 100 feet with no problem. Didn't buy it but for rec diving. Seems like a good buy and I'm pleased with it. David
PATRICK C I have had this octo since 2008 and have had absolutely no problems. I have taken this octo as deep as 100 feet with no problems. Granted it was only used for a minute just to try it out but it worked just fine.
R D Lots of my dive trips entail dives of 100+ feet and the octopus performs fine. I'm usually on Nitrox so my depth don't often exceed 110, but on occasion I'll get close to the 130 rec limit mark on air--no problems. I'm not a tech diver, so for depths greater than that, you're on your own.
LYNN N I have not done many deep dives since I've owned this Octupus, been diving mostly in Hawaii and Mexico. I think the deepest I've gone with mine is 85 or 90 ft. but it has performed well on all my dives.

PAUL M hey manolis p, I dont know much about max depth, but i did a dive this past September in the red sea off of Eilat, Israel. my depth was 98ft. I switched out my atomic(which was working flawlessly) to see how easy this octopus would worked. It worked beautifully, breathing was effortless. you can't go wrong with any scuba pro product. well worth it. there wasn't any noticeable discomfort with the extra hose either. enjoy!!

CRAIG AND WANDA W I don't have an Atomic Z2 but I'm pretty sure that if the threads on your firt stage are the same it should work and I would think that it would be a standard size throughout the industry
ANTHONY S You can use it with any regulator as long as you have a low pressure port available on your first stage.
