Questions about this item:
Terri Y I am new to diving and a two time breast cancer survivor so I want a pink BCD. Don't know what size to buy? I am 5'4" busty (40D) waist is 39" and hips 43" current weight around 220lbs. I used about 32lbs in the weight belt. Help! The BCD I used in the dive shop was an extra large. Not sure of brand.
KRISTIN M The BC is very well cut so the straps come over your shoulder and not across the bust. More important for sizing is whether the cumberbunt (big velcro strap) fits well over your waist.
WARREN N An Extra large sounds right Terri. Enjoy your diving.
CHERYL D You will need a L or XL but you might really want to think about the aqua lung? PEARL. the reason I suggest this is that you are not tall. The problem with many BCD's is that they they get longer as they get larger. This is true with the Bella. I have gone through many BCD's. 7 of them. The BCD I like the most and have purchased twice is the PEARL. It has many more size options and is truly a much better fit for shorter women. If you have Dive shops in your area I would advise you to go try some on before you order/buy anything.
I always like to remind people that this is a piece of dive gear that your life depends on. It needs to right for you regardless of the color. I also would be remiss if I did not warn you about the the tank strap buckle on the BELLA. It is metal. I cut my self very bad trying to adjust the strap for a DIN tank due to the metal buckle.
One more note: You will use less weight as you dive more.
Good Luck and happy diving!!
BARBARA M I have a medium and a large and am same height as you. The medium I use in warm water with a 3m and the large in cold water with a 7m suit. You might be most comfortable with a large.
As you progress in diving and get more comfortable with buoyancy you will reduce your lead weight requirement.
The jacket style that this BC is affords you the ability to distribute your weights between front pockets and trim pockets.
I love love love my Bellas, I had a back inflation Lady Hawk and have found this to be a better fit for me and provides better buoyancy control.
Shopper Can I get this BCD in any other color than gray/pink?
JOE G It's a women's BC and only available in pink now.
PAMELA M Hi, I too am a breast cancer survivior.Welcome to the greatest sport around.Scubapro is the best gear made. There bella vest also comes in blue and black.Good luck you are in good hands with Leisure pro.Pam M.
GREG T Yes my wife has one with blue and silver highlights.
LAWRENCE S Yes you can. Mine is black and gray and a very little red. However not sure it is still available.
Patrick B What is the largest tank it will handle?
JESSICA Z i don't know, its weird that leisure pro didnt know and wouldnt just ask the manufacturer.? im guessing it could handle any tank size, the largest is a 120, we use 80s. And this is a women's bcd by the way.
MATTHEW K Only used it with aluminum 80's
NADIA B I am not sure but I put on my 75 steel tank.
TOMMY H I have put an 80 and a 100cf tank on it.
Shopper I am thinking of purchasing Scubapro Bella BC, but I am not sure what size to get. I am about 5'6, 115 lbs and wear 3mm and also 5mm suits. I've read all reviews, but I am not sure if I should buy small or x small?
Brett H My vote is for the size XS, I think the small will most likely be a little loose on you.
Holly H I am thinking of purchasing this BC, but am not sure what size to get. I am about 5'4, 140 lbs and also busty. I read a review that a woman who is 5'10, busty and overweight purchased a large. I am not sure if I should go with a small or medium. If I purchase one and it doesn't fit, is it possible to send back and exchange sizes?
JESSICA Z I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs sz B bra and my small bcd fits well. So I would suggest sz medium if your larger on top than me and leisure pro has a great return policy if it doesn't fit.
KRISTIN M I'm 5'7'', dress size 10-12, C-cup, and I find the medium to be an excellent fit. My mother has a small, and she sounds more your size. The beauty of these BC's is that they stay nicely out of the way of your chest. (But, yes, my original plan was the same as yours, to purchase and exchage for the bigger size if needed)
CHRISTINA K Hi Holly,
I'm 5'10, 175 lbs and busty - I know that it's hard to find the right BC! I usually wear a size small men's BC because I have a fairly small/short torso despite being busty. I got the Bella in a size medium and it fits perfectly.
One issue I'd consider, given your height: Have you ever worn a BC with integrated weights before? Because I'm hippy as well as busty, and the extra bulk on my hips instead of on a belt at my waist took some getting used to. If I were you I'd go with a small.
Hope this helps!
COLLIN B Hi Holly!
My husband bought me a small sized Scubapro Bella BC for Christmas. I love it! I'm about 5'6", 130 lbs with an average bust.
The only thing I don't love about this BC is the top clip. It does up really high near the neck, (I actually never do it up because it is too close to my neck and puts pressure on my throat).
I don't believe you would have an issue with bust size. The BC is awesome other than that clip. I do not miss having that top clip done up.
Hope that info helps.
Stacie
Holly H Do you remember what size you bought her?
MATTHEW K Buy it. It will be perfect. I bought it for my former gf who is about your height and weight and extremely busty. She loves it!
Shopper Is it $424.95 with the AIR2 mounted on the BC?
GREG T No, the price listed includes the Bella BC and a low pressure inflation hose. The Air2 is a separate purchase. Thank you for your inquiry.
MIKE E I purchased it without the air II because it was on backorder then purchased one through dive shop and absolutely will never dive with any other alternate air source again!
Shopper What is the weight?
LeisurePro S I have a shipping weight of 8 pounds.

Hey ladies! You wouldn't wear a man's suit to the office or a pair of man's shoes to go out dancing, so why would you wear scuba gear designed for male divers? The Bella BCD from SCUBAPRO is ideal for women who love to dive, expect excellence from their dive equipment, and want gear that fits like a dream. The Bella BCD will hug your body and increase your equipment-based comfort like you've never experienced before. Its contoured hip indents will free you from that "digging in" feeling that is so common while wearing BCDs that were designed for men. The padded backpack and soft neoprene neck mean no more points of pressure and uncomfortable sore spots due to gear that rubs you wrong. Don't worry - the Bella BCD isn't just about comfort; it is also about function. The zippered cargo pockets and conveniently located D-rings will allow you to easily stow and located your gear and any goodies you find along the way. In addition the SCUBAPRO-exclusive wraparound air bladder will allow you to remain streamlined and in control because, unlike most other air bladders, it doesn't stick like wings out when inflated; instead, it continues to hug you and retain its cradle-like shape, even when fully inflated. The Bella has a 5-point deflation system, which includes 3 dump valves; no matter your position or hand preference, you can easily, quickly, and safely dump air whenever necessary. DIVE PINK & FIGHT BREST CANCER! For every Pink BCD $40 will be donated to fight breast cancer.
