HIGH PERFORMANCE DOUBLE BRAIDED HOSES

Miflex Hoses, the manufacturer of the range of Xtreme high performance diving hoses are pleased to confirm the launch of their products in America, working with the established and successful company XS Scuba.

Developed in cooperation with expert divers, the Xtreme range of diving hoses have been developed by a team of Miflex engineers, analyzing the weak points of traditional rubber diving hoses.

The fruit of their research is the Miflex Xtreme range of high performance hoses.

Available in a wide range of lengths, for regulators and BCD quick-disconnect applications and in three colors:

Black, Blue and hi-viz Yellow.

Miflex Xtreme hoses feature a patent-pending double nylon safety braiding designed to outperform and outlive traditional rubber hoses.

Miflex Xtreme hoses are 30% lighter than an equivalent length rubber hose and have unmatched flexibility.

You can tie a Miflex Xtreme hose in a knot and still be assured of continuous, uninterrupted airflow.

Comments about XS Scuba Worthington Cylinders HP Steel 3442 psi (230 bar) Tanks:

I can't say much more than anyone else has said about this. I tend to stay out as long as my tank lasts so having a bigger tank allows me to go further and stay out longer than before and I'm still well within the no deco dive limit.

My first dive with it was awesome but I did find that I need to take weight off my weight belt and put it into my integrated BC in order to compensate for the additional weight that's on my back. I kind of felt like a turtle. As long as I was swimming flat the weight distribution was better with the steel 120 than the usual Al 80 but if I tip to the side it was tough to right myself. With that in mind I can change where I store the weight for a better dive.

My only complaint was that the tank was not pre assembled with the valve in place like the Al 80 but there was a good cap with silica beads in it so moisture was not an issue. All in all a great purchase.

Awesome, durable, air lasts forever. Bulky and heavy but I dropped almost all of my weight from my BCD so was a good trade off.

Comments about XS Scuba Worthington Cylinders HP Steel 3442 psi (230 bar) Tanks:

This is a great, solidly constructed tank. I've already listed the pros and cons, and really this is not much more to say. It is solid, galvanized steel.....of course it is going to be heavy. Loved everything about this.

One complaint, as a Master Scuba Diver I did not love the color-coded valve XS uses with this system. It is two plastic disks, one red, one green. When the tank is green, it is fully open; any combo of the two and the valve is not fully open. Red, of course, should be self-explanatory. No experienced diver or Dive Master is going to rely on these disks to tell them if your tank is open. You check it yourself, every time you dive. The plastic is realistically a failure point, and something that I could see eventually causing the hand wheel to get stuck in whatever position the rings fail at. However, this is a minor worry, and since it comes free with the tank, I cannot really complain.
