The high intensity LED and incredible battery life move the SL4 (L1) to the top of the chart for international dive travel. Compact size and narrow penetrating beam allow you to see way to the back of an overhand on the wall, daytime or night. As an added bonus the SL4 is equally at home at work or around the house as well as in bad weather.
You also get a free 36" (91.4 cm) Quick Release Coil Lanyard with the SL-3. It's a snap! This coiled lanyard expands to 36" (91.4 cm). Simply unhook the latch with a squeeze of the fingers and the coil is released, offering extension during use. . The eLED circuitry provides relatively constant brightness throughout most of the life of the batteries. As the batteries are nearly depleted the brightness of the LED falls sharply, but does not go out as happens with classical filament lamps. This brightness will persist for several days, making this light valuable for emergency situations. The SL4 eLED is also great as a photo spotting light or to illuminate gauges and dive tables.
The SL4 LED operates more efficiently and produces more light when it is cool. Underwater, the SL4 eLED burns brighter for almost half of the battery life, due to the unique way that heat is conducted away from the LED. The higher brightness consumes a little more power and slightly reduces the battery life. The SL4's eLED Lamp produces 400 Lumens of Brightness. To reduce glare and protect the light, the SL4 comes with a Molded Rubber Bezel Cover. The Rotary Switch is easily activated with the thumb and index finger for single hand operation. The Light is powered by 4 x C"-Cell Alkaline Batteries (included) with a Burn Time of 10 Hours. The light measures 6.2" x 1.5" x 1.7" (15.75 x 3.81 x 4.32 cm), weighs 15.02 oz (425.81 g) and is Depth Rated to 500' (152.4 meters).
