Lobster diving or photography can really get your hands full. How do I keep light on my subject or that five pound lobster with either my camera or game bag or hunting tools in hand? The high-intensity Mini Q40 eLED is lightweight enough to attach to your mask strap for hands-free illumination of camera settings, hunting, gauges and close-up marine life. It outshines many lights three times its size. Light comes equipped with a mask strap attachment and 1-Watt eLED high brightness lamp. Works well as a photographers spotting light. Mini Q40 eLED Light fits Sea & Sea, Ultra-Light and other camera mounting adapters. All this versatility in a tough ABS polycarbonate body with rubber shock resistant bezel cover makes the Mini Q40 eLED the light for you.

This unique light produces 77 Lumens of Brightness with the single eLED Lamp. The light is powered by 4 AA Alkaline Batteries (included) with a Burn Time of 4 to 5 Hours. With optional Lithium Batteries the light will get a Burn Time of 9 to 10 Hours. The Mini Q40 Light measures 6.1" x 1.6" x 1.4" (15.49 x 4.06 x 3.56 cm) and weighs 5.4 oz (153.09 g). this light is a solid classic. i think UK are the best dive lights. i had a miniQ40 (non-LED) for ten years, since i was 15. i loved it and used it for everything; camping, fishing, diving, etc. i lost it somehow. i thought it was bright, but this new eLED type is super bright. i also bought the mini pocket lite, and the SL4 sunlight (all UK). i use the SL4 and the miniQ40 between me and a friend when we go night snorkelling. it's plenty bright. i use the miniQ40 for backup when i go night diving. i also use the miniQ40 for day time snorkelling or diving for looking into caves and such. it's small, strong, durable, great shape and design. i don't think i'll ever not have at least a couple of UK lights.
P.S. eLED is the way to go! DON'T buy bulb lights. batteries last so much longer (at least ten times longer) and eLEDs don't break. my tech-diver freind said "get eLED-trust me!" he was right. trust me.

Comments about Underwater Kinetics Mini Q40 eLED Dive Light:

I have owned this light for 3-4 years and it has always served me well. I use it for spearfishing during the day or at night. I have mounted this small light on the end of my speargun, and even on my hawaiian sling. One of the first times i used it, it was a backup light mounted on my speargun on a night dive where my C8 burned out both bulbs on the same dive! I then realized i did not have much use for the C8 after I saw the capabilities of this light. The beam is a bit too narrow as a primary light though.

I always keep the o-ring greased and have never had an issue.

Comments about Underwater Kinetics Mini Q40 eLED Dive Light:

Light is a twist to turn on. I have several of these lights and have found them to be very dependable IF you keep the o-ring well maintained. Nice, compact, bright light with concentrated beam. Excellent product!

Ok, maybe I am not that demanding. Used it extensivly while diving in Bonaire. I have a good LED 4c light but I also have a camera in one hand. I gave the big light to my daughter and used this. For the rest of my trip I only used this light, day and night. Works great!
