Safety matters-don't dive without the Blue Tang Titanium knife. Getting caught in netting or fishing line is a dangerous and common occurrence. The Blue Tang Titanium is designed with a hook at its base to help you easily cut through any entanglement. It is sharp, corrosion resistant, and has a locking mechanism on its sheath so it won't fall off underwater or stab you. The non-corroding solid titanium blade combined with straight and serrated cutting edges on the 5-inch blade and a quick release sheath make this the best all-around diver's knife. It is the ultimate in salt water corrosion resistance and has a keen edge, incredible strength, and a design that is unique for diving. Knife is equipped with a one-hand insertion and removal sheath with straps.

    Blue Reef Deluxe 5" Titanium Knife (with a lanyard hole) that is a slightly thicker/heavier blade which is double edge sharp at the tip of the blade with full tang construction to a threaded metal end for the pommel (that is also titanium BUT GLUED ON - not so easy to remove the first time when cleaning). If some genius company could combine the best attributes of both knives I would buy a hundred of them to give away to all my friends and family.

      This is a beauty of a knife.
      I have been diving for 37 years and have a accumulated a collection of knives. This is my first titanium. I cannot speak for the durability as I have only had it for a month and used it on three dives. But everything about it looks excellent. It is easy to take apart and clean, it is really sharp, it is light.
      The locking mechanism is well designed.
      Overall, I am impressed and plan on making this my main dive knife.
      I switched the straps, as I prefer velcro.
