DESCRIPTION

Night diving or low visibility diving can become a bit disorientating at times, being able to be located or locating your buddy should not become an issue. Disposable light sticks can become costly if you do a lot of this kind of diving, not to mention the creation of trash after it used. Make sure fellow divers see you at night with this dependable high-visibility red personal marker beacon. This light's long burn time and high brightness make it a perfect chemical light stick replacement.

The Mini Dive Beacon's 1.3-Watt eLED Lamp produces 3,500 mcd of Brightness. The Light is powered by 2 x AAA Alkaline Batteries with a Burn Time of 24 Hours. The Mini Dive Beacon measures 7.6" 0.8" x 0.8" (19.3 x 2.03 x 2.03 cm) and weighs approximately 1.5 oz (42.52 g) with batteries. Light is Depth Rated to 500' (152.4 meters). Light is equipped with a handy adjustable lanyard.

Not the best light........

    Light looks great on land, but underwater is a different story.

    Beacon does not illuminate uniformly, and can not bee seen easily at any distance. Think in terms like from 15 feet away you may not be able to see your dive partner.

    Clean the casting flash from the o-ring groove to get good seal.

    A little research by UK into the design of the cone and changing the LED colour could make this a nice little light.

    As it is, it's good for directing traffic in an emergency, but I wouldn't take it diving again.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
