DESCRIPTION
The Comfo-Bite Mouthpiece, patented by Aqua Lung, reduces jaw fatigue, and allows you to enjoy the diving experience longer. Designed by an engineer who used a retainer for his teeth, he incorporated the same design into the Comfo-Bite. The mouthpiece allows the diver to completely loosen the bite on the regulator mouthpiece and allow it to lightly rest in their mouth, making this the most comfortable mouthpiece available.

Comfo-Bite mouthpiece by Aqualung

Absolutely love this mouthpiece. I haven't tried the personlized ones but for the money, this one is great. It never feels like it might fall out.

Doesn't fit securely

Initial opinion was that it did improve overall comfort and reduce jaw fatigue. A weird side effect though for me was that it occasionally caused numbness to the roof of my mouth? This was caused by the molded part of the mouthpiece that slides behind your top teeth.

The REAL problem I had with this was at depth (85') when for no apparent reason (no pressure or strain on the hose) it came off my reg. Could have been a disaster as I was diving alone and in strong current but I went to my octo and made a safe ascent.

As others have stated the weakness is likely the groove or lip where the wire tie secures the mouthpiece. In my opinion, it doesn't secure it properly to your regulator.

    As I've gained more experience and upgraded my SCUBA gear I have found that Aqui Lung/Apex products are the best I have used. I wish I had started with this gear sooner. So if your going to purchase new gear or upgrade I would suggest/highly recommend using this gear.

      This mouthpiece is great! I had a hard time trying to find a small mouthpiece that would not rub blisters on my mouth. My jaw would always be so tired after diving all day. With this mouthpiece I never noticed any fatigue and it was small enough I did not get any blisters!! I would recommend this product.

        I bought this after reading about it, for use on my Oceanic GT3 CDX5 DVT second stage. It is noticeably and significantly more comfortable than the stock mouthpiece, which did fatigue my jaw.

        It is superior to the sock regulator mouthpieces that come with rental gear that I used when training and on occasion. It is comfortable and easy to forget, with no unpleasant strain on the jaw after a dive.

        For those who had it come loose, I can only imagine it was tightened badly. I recommend the Aqua Quick Release Mouthpiece Clamp to attach it to your reg.

        I highly recommend this item for stress free, jaw-ache free diving, and it is a steal at the price.
