Have been diving with this secondary reg for 10 years now, Never had any problems. 400+ dives. Great set up, its small flat shape is well thought out. The Shadow plus fits on the inflator hose between the power inflator hose fitting and the BC connection eliminating one hose. This also allows the setup to be plugged into different BCs because it becomes part of the regulator setup. It becomes the octo/inflator like an airsource. I have breathed off this shadow octo many times testing it during saftey stops, breaths easy and no problems. Breaths so much better than Aqua Lung ABS. Similar model to Genesis "sidekick" for connection.

Good backup reg as long as you plan to upgrade sometime in the near-future.
I'm looking to detach this from my basic air-delivery system and attach it to a pony bottle instead.
Reg becomes difficult to breath with when air runs low or if you go past 50 ft., but ultimately a good temporary reg.

Haven't tried it in extreme depths,
very resistant to freeflow due to horizontal build, only thing that could be improved is that becuase there is no bubble skirt, bubbles end up going in front of your face, no too big of a deal.
