DESCRIPTION
Like the tailfin of a humpback whale, SCUBAPRO's Twin Jet Fins use a split-hydrofoil shape to deliver more forward motion with less effort. Result: more power with less effort and drag. This fin style offers you the ability to move quickly and effortlessly withoutsacrificing control while swimming at depth. Of the four colors, the black fins are the most rigid and offer a more traditional finexperience. The black fins are slightly negatively buoyant. Graphite and Cobalt fins these models are made of a more buoyant and flexible compound than the black models. This allows you to achieve the most bang for your kicking buck. These fins are slightly positively buoyant. The Yellow fin option is made of a compound similar to the graphite and cobalt models, but offers the greatest opportunity for you to be seen underwater. The yellow fins are slightly positively buoyant. The patented split-fin propeller technology and the drag-reducing vents reduce your effort and fatigue levels.

FEATURES
  • Patented split-fin propeller technology increased power and decreased fatigue
  • Drag-reducing vents greatly reduce knee strain and fatigue
  • Extra-wide foot pocket accommodate most dry suit or semi-dry suit boots
  • Quick-connect buckles swivel to ease the on/off processes
  • Extended soleplate acts like a lever to enhance power stroke

Excellent fins for the recreational Scuba Diver, especially when first starting out. Their easy to use and place minimal strain on your legs so great for preventing cramps. Which is a big plus considering the amount of diving i do. Every time I teach a scuba class I have my students try them out and inevitably they want a pair. I have 2 pairs the blue and black, the blue pair are softer and slightly positively buoyant great for all sorts of diving, and yes even in current they perform great. The black pair is just as good, but does tend to give a little bit more bang for your kicking buck, but overall they are very similar. You do need to use a slightly different kick than with blades, but that is true for all split fins. Finally the big question can you do a frog kick, well the answer is no, not the traditional frog kick, but that again is true for all split fins. However because these fins are softer and shorter than most other split fins on the market you can do a modified frog kick.

Overall GREAT FINS!!!!!!

I have the cobalt fins so they're positively bouyant. I would end up floating vertically in the water column, feet up. Not a very comfortable feeling. Additionally, in heavy current these fins are nearly useless. You can't get any power out of your kick.

I've heard mixed reviews about these fins. Some people love them and some hate them. Turns out my kick is just wrong for the fin.

Comments about Scubapro "Twin Jet" Open Heel Split Fins:

I tried these fins while on holiday and absolutely loved them! The first thing I did when I got home was looked them up on Leisure Pro and ordered myself a pair. They give you great power while being highly efficient. They are really comfortable and easy to get on/off. Heaps of room in the foot pocket! I used the blue pair and didnt have any trouble with the positive buoyancy as opposed the the negatively buoyant black ones. Get yourself a pair ASAP!!
